Arab, as usual your grasp of history is way, way way off the mark. Lets agree that skateboards are an adaptation of rollerskates...
now here a little lesson: The first recognized inventor of roller skates was a Belgian manufacturer named Joseph Merlin. He produced the first roller skates with metal wheels in 1760. He presented his invention in London at a formal ball and rolled across the floor.
Now of course you'll argue that America really invented skating becuase they invented the wheel, after all you've rented out 'The Flintstones' from Blockbuster.

Please read about the Second World War before you start spouting nonsense, or was Saving Private Ryan where you learnt everything? The bottom line is that I don't think you have any idea what your talking about sometimes and I really can't be bothered to give you the free education you so obviously need. We will go to war with Iraq. Why? The same reason W is in office...the power machine dictates it. I'm no liberal or conservative...anyone that follows an ideal blindly is a sheep that deserves it's slaughter. The facts are: We have a moron for a President that did not win his election. He is attempting to oust a dictator that his father and Rumsfield put in power all under the guise of rousting terrorism (this terrorism is being led by a man that George senior helped fund). The events of 9/11 were horrific, no ifs,ands, or buts. Bottom line...our domestic economy is in the crapper, much like when King George 1 was in power, no better distraction than ridding the earth of "evil"..."Gulf War 2: The Sequal" fitting as this country's major export of late is "entertainment". We are a fat, bloated, bully....the whole world thinks so...except those that don't want us to beat them up. I feel for those who will lose their lives or loved ones in this....but as it's been said,"If you don't learn from history...you're doomed to repeat it."
The flip side to all this are the Demo-Libs who are trying to make their own press by throwing up the red flags. This is marketing. Buy Coke. Vote Democrat. Buy Pepsi vote Republican. None of it is any good for you....but we all buy in anyway. Now roll over dog. Good boy.

You ask them if they skate, amd want slalom lessons...blah blah blah.. Just because others aren`t physically seen skating in cali doesn`t mean they don`t skate. Many out west have not made trips to the east so the same arguement could be made of them but that`s bogus.
And why do you keep bringing my name into your petty arguements? You won`t respond to me emails. And I stopped posting anything directly, remotely, near your posts. And more often you are cutting sonmeone down rather than adding positive input.
I know I`ll probably see another 25 posts from you putting me down, whether directly or indirectly, but so be it.

Here's another tidbit:
What 2 countries are holding out support? Germany and France.
What do these countries have in common? Both helped Iraq with the development of nukes.
Why is France especially interested in not going to war? Iraq them 6 BILLION $$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the other european countries and even SYRIA are supporting the U.S. efforts.

I did briefly consider the illegal option of staying in America. Ever time I visit and discuss my predicament with Americans (usually in LA), I am offered "cash in hand" jobs by many of the well-meaning people I meet. However, the risk really isn't worth it to me. If I was caught, I would never be allowed back in to the US and that is simply too high a price to pay. I love visiting the US so much, I could never live with not being able to go there again.
What annoys me most is the fact that Irish people are practically invited into the US with open arms and I am not. (Incidentally, my grandparents were Irish, but my parents and myself were born in England, so we don't qualify.) Maybe the ongoing fellowship between our respective governments will change things some time in the future. I can always hope ;)

Stubbs-All good reads, I look forward to Dr Sowell's commentarys in the daily paper, The guy is so in tune with reality its scary sometimes. He told a story one time about a guy that was African American and applied and was granted a scholarship to a major US university, When they found out this guy was a "WHITE African American"(Yes White South African Father, White American Mother), the system withdrew his scholarship and tried to sue him for fraud yada yada, He sued their asses and won big.
Glad to see we are on the same page, we are a rare bread, Truth sucks to most others, I happen to enjoy it.

MORE TIME FOR THE INSPECTORS? Look, these inspectors are not supposed to be over there looking for some "smoking gun". They are there to insure that Saddam has disarmed like he agreed to in the PEACE TREATY he SIGNED in 1991.
And it's quite obvous he has not.
He's supposed to be demonstrating that he has destroyed the weapons he says he's destroyed. It is not up to the U.S or the U.N. to find something and give the world proof. It is Saddam's responsibilty to show us proof he has no weapons. He has not and is not complying.
The president said in his address the other night that he wanted the people of Iraq to know that "the enemy is not surrounding your country, it's ruling your country." Nail on the head. They will be liberated wether you socialists and communists think they want to be or need to be. It is going to happen.
You people? that question the actions of this president and don't question a dictator that tortures men, women and children are pathetic. CHILDREN!!!!!!!! Torturing children in front of their parents, invading neighboring countries, BLOWING UP KUWAIT OIL FIELDS AND POLLUTING THE ENVIORNMENT! You hypocrites.

Al-Queeda was originally formed as a movement to exact their own right wing philosophies of their religion on their OWN people.
Along comes Bin Laden and he joins this radical group and brings $$$ and added that ALL non believers of their radical veiws become the enemy. Originally it was the Jews of Israel and soon it was Americans fron the US as supporters of Israel and consequentially (sp?) the attack on 9/11/03. Remember there were previous attacks at other locations too.
Now for my own waffling on being pro-war...
I personally don`t see the connnection between Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden or Al Queeda.
I doo see that the Al Queeda has shifted their allegiances to their supporters at the drop of a dime.
I can also forsee an allegiance of Hussein with Al Queeda to get at those nasty, immoral westeners, whether it be Israel, US or even dowtown London.
Maube what I`m saying is Bush Sr dropped the ball by not finsihing off Hussein. And he needs to be delt with, but I`m not sure a case should be made of a connection between him and the Al Queeda network to accomplish that.
And cann the inspectors expect to find anything since Saddam had years to hide it and is not giving full cooperation to the inspectors again. Especially in such a short period of time? Hasn`y saddam already proven his true light? If so, why aren`t the world leaders coming together as they should have? Could it be their own polotical agenda?
Just some thoughts....

Was I saying don't go to war on al-Quaeda? No. Was I suggesting some pause for thought before we turn Iraq into a glass lake? Possibly. I?m not a fan of the movement that is al-Quaeda. I don?t like Saddam Hussein either (see posts below). The point I?m trying to make, and I?m sorry that my grasp of the language is making it difficult to understand, is that you have one issue ?al-Quaeda- and you have another ?Saddam Hussein?s regime in Iraq. Totally different things. Somehow now, the link is immutable in the minds of our leaders: That?s not good enough.
How do you feel about the Terrorist that were just arrested in England with Ricin, they planned to use it on British Milatary and civilians, What if they had set it off in the Underground/Tube, would you still feel the same about these fun loving people that are harmless? Do you think that they need a hug and some love?
That?s funny. There?s an inference that, from my last post, I want to give these harmless people a hug. Please go back and read what I wrote. I don?t beg forgiveness for ?or even understanding of- these scumbags. I?m simply asking a few questions about things that are happening. That?s all.
On the specific point of the Ricin discovery. Lots of feelings:
I?m shocked, but not surprised, that there are al-Quaeda sympathizers in our midst.
I?m worried about the possible threat to my family.
I?m thankful they were arrested.
