Hey we need more people to visitthe longboard chat room on Undernet org IRC. If you haven't a irc program then use the Java one found through the Sidewalksurfing page (see links). Please mail meif you are interested in having a world chat next weekend ! Say where you are from and what time you could be on line at. I will then try and find a time to suit all (arghhhh)

In search of a Wide longdeck.
I'm looking for a deck with really good snap, large wheel cutouts, and sized around 48x11. Ideally it would have a subtle concave and a bit of camber. Anyone know of such a deck?

I from yuppie mecca of the U.S.A, Bend Oregon. I was wondering if there was any type of organization around this region that involves downhilling. The place has opportunity, but lacks investment.

I'm wondering if anybody still rides POWELL CUBICS for down- hill cruising??I remember seeing guys in old Action Now Mags cruising with the PURPLE ones, well at least I think they were POWELL! If they made them again I would purchase a set. What about BIG OJ'S? They were fast Too.. OJ wheels broke some speed record.

There are lots of different types of wood that can be used in making a deck. A few that are really nice are; osage orange, a very yellow (in color) hardwood, that has excellent flex, density, and durability. Also, ash is an all around strong hardwood. If your choice is plywood, try 5/8 or 3/4 Baltic Birch.

To all of you who made it out to the NCDSA ride in Hercules on the 19th, it was great to meet you guys and have a chance to skate with you. To anyone who didn't make it, you missed a great time. I can't wait for the next meet so we can do it again. If anyone ever wants to get together for an impromptu ride some weekend (or after work), I'm always up for it. Hope to see everyone out there cruzin' again soon!
