Wesley and Brady,
You both are entitled to freedom of speech. On the other hand, you and not entitled to freedom of consequences. Although you both seemed to have hashed out this issue long ago, you can't let it go. Your arguments are not enjoyable reading! Get over it and fight via e-mail or continue to lose my respect.
Sincerely,
Cliff Coleman
p.s. That goes for anyone who could hash out their problems via e-mail but instead choose to air your dirty laundry here at NCDSA.

Ok,
That's ONE COMMITMENT: Brady IS NOT COMING.
In lieu of this development, can I get a show of hands who would attend such an event?

Wesley, Why are you trying to call me out? What have you to prove? The FACTS were clearly represented and that`s all that needs to be said. You set a course for a longboard race (36") that only 8 people qualified on before it was reset (of which you insisted would not happen) and the only ones able to make the course did so on sub 20" wheelbases (not a longboard by anyones imagination) and you had commented that the course would be used again the following year. So the comment to Tasos was that all that I spoke with on the matter said they would not attend if those same circumstances were to be the next event.
Now is this what you wanted? The TRUTH! The FACTS! Because it makes YOU look ridiculous. Now hold the race with that exact same course again and see who shows. You`ll have one less person to worry about and that is a FACT!

Hi all :) I'm happy today after a few seeks for DHL, at least I have the DVD of Dogtown and the Z-Boys in hand.
I dunno when the movie will hit the theaters in France, but I will be the first one to hit the lines.
Thanxs to Stacy Peralta :) Ride with pride. Colin.

Well, y'all, I'll be honest with you: I would put on an event, or try to, but Brady has already assured me and everyone else who reads NCDSA that anything I'm associated with, NO ONE WOULD ATTEND.
Since there's no way I can put on an event and not be associated with it, I see no reason to organize an event where no one would come race. After all, everyone told Brady I was the single worst thing about the ILSA race in June of 2002. Since my involvement would guarantee catastrophe, there's no reason to even really consider it.
I can pretty well assure you all, though, there will continue to be regular outlaw sessions at the Bus Terminal starting again as soon as my shoulder tells me to go skate.
Of course, I'm assuming Brady was accurate and that I was not misinformed? After all, there's really no reason for Brady to lie about such a thing. If EVERYONE told him I was a terrible influence, then that must be the truth.

I don't get to check the internet much here in crete and I want to explain as simple as possible why the WLSC's are going to Cali in 2004 (and that the Folly date is cancelled).
I came to Greece in July to record a song for the Olympics and while here I have been meeting with some important people in the Olympic committee about also putting on somesort of a skating event right before the games start.
In the meanwhile, my new band OCEAN TRIBE has been playing gigs and preparing to go into the studio to record our debut CD for Warner Music. I have committed to promoting this album with a contractual agreement with our management. I tried to get all the official permits, etc for Folly this summer but with out me being there way in advance, it is impossible to put on a big event. Last year it was all thanks to Michael Brooke, Debs, Wesley Tucker, Brian Parsons and the DC Crew that the contest was a success. It was headed for disaster with the weather, but the skate gods liked us, and the rest is history. Many of you all helped and in truth you all should take 100 percent of the respect from the skate community. Without skaters like you that came, I would never want to be involved in organizing another. So, since I do not know at all when i will return to the US, it is impossible for me to ask everyone to absolutely do everthing for me. If that was the case, then do it without me. Get Wesley to do it downtown and call it the EAST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. On our ILSA site i encourage skaters to do this. You all put on great events, you don't need me. Pull out your vans slip ons and do it.
As far as the WLSC in Cali. Debs is a great person and skater and Fibreflex has committed to being the 2004 title sponsor. She will have a big part in organizing and deciding important concerns for the next championships. We will make this contest a big event that will be compete with other world wide skate and sport events. We want to keep the old school soul, but it is time to take it to the next step. ESPN, etc would have to recognize longboarding as a viable commodity and we will make the rules before they do. We skate not for the money. We skate because we are skaters. There is no west coast east coast rap thing here. I am not moving to Cali. I do not know where i will be in one week. I hope you all understand my situation, but just know I miss you all and the stoke i get out of hanging with skaters that now why exactly they skate. I'll sign off now. God bless and keep up the stoke. The positive stoke. Our stoke. Tasos

Hello fellow Boarders,
Jason here from Montreal. I'm 25 & planning a 3 month long skateboarding trip from montreal to San Diego, leaving in early FEbruary. I am traveling with a Volkswagen Camper, and want to find as many good skateboard and longboard spots as possible throuyghtout the States. Skateparks, Ditches, nice hills...etc... I am looking for a travel partner to skate with. Male...Female...whatever. So if you got time on your hands and you wanna skate the states, please contact me soon. Depending on your location, we can arrange to meet somewhere.
Too old for the cold.

BoBo, I`m saddened too but at the bottom of Taso`s post, he states he`s moving back to cali. Would you expect him to organize a race 3K miles away?

Nothing to do with skateboarding, but since we are a global on line community.... FYI
The weather in Finland is pretty cold right now. So if you're coming over here you should take warm clothes with you.

Nothing to do with skateboarding, but since we are a global on line community.... FYI
If you receive a telephone call or e-mail that asks you to call back to area codes 809, 284 or 876 it is likely a scam. The caller will possibly leave a message about a family member who is ill, arrested, died or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc. In each case you are to call the 809 number or the others right away. Since there are so many new area codes coming into existince these days, people unknowingly return these calls.
If you call from Canada or the U.S. you will apparently be charged $2400 per minute. You will get a long recorded message trying to keep you on the line as long as possible.
Area Code 809 is located in the British Virgin Islands. The 809 area code can be used as a "pay-per-call" number similar to a 900 number. Since 809 is not in the U.S. or Canada it is not covered by regulations that you be notified and warned of charges and rates. There is also no requirement that the company provide a time period during which you may terminate the call without being charged.
>Your local telephone company and your long distance carrier will not help you out on this one. They state that you did make the call and that they are only a billing agent for the foreign company. You will end up in conflict with a foreign company that will argue that they have done nothing wrong.
We recommend that, no matter how you get the message, if you are asked to call an 809, 284 or 876 number that you don't recognize, just disregard the message.
>Additional information can be obtained from the following AT&T Web Site - www.att.com/fraud/home.html#thre/s/
>Pass this on to anyone you might know.
