From the webmaster..
It appears that I made the mistake of imposing truce without first clearing the battle field of combatants, i.e. the recent abusive posts. So now they're gone.
Technically all this crap should be in the Guest Book forum, for lack of a better name, so in the future please brawl over there and leave this forum for genuine posts that we do not otherwise categorize. I've got nothing against political discussions -- especially in these tumultious times -- but when it gets personal it starts to offend rather than entertain.
Before submitting that next post, proof read it for the words "you" and, of course, anyone's name in particular. If you're talking AT them and in an abusive manner your post will be short-lived indeed. Instead, address the idea, not the individual.

Not ALL the 'Limeys' have the same views as those of some of the more vocal ones here. Please remember that and don't generalise, Slalom Havck, that means YOU. Thanks.

Oh, I also find it interesting to read all the Brits' comments about how inhumane and tortuous Americans are towards adversaries. Since NONE of the SUSPECTED IRA were ever mistreated while in British custody, then I guess it's OK for the Limeys to point their fingers and everyone else.
Oh, wait. I forgot. Those are terrorists killing YOUR families and destroying YOUR homes. That makes it all different. How silly of my to forget.

Jonnyx seems to take great pride in beating up Nazis. I wonder how many were already on the ground bleeding when he came along to issue the bravest hit of all?

Perhaps a Boxing Ring Room where you needed to have a code to Enter, only obtainable from Adam, not a registration code for the site, just an access code a bit like the cyberslalom. That way it prevents Joe Public or the First time visitor from entering and viewing vast quantities of flame and abuse, which would give the wrong impression of what this site is (mostly) about

I don't know where'd you find the space Adam or which parent thread it would fall under but maybe you could create a "Boxing Ring" thread. ANY topic is open and anything goes ( gulp! ) so don't enter unless you have your whits about you or are just in a masochistic mood. You know, at least people would know what they're stepping into ahead of time. Right?
You guys are so sexy when you argue ;-)

I'd like to thank all those who have served or are serving this country in our armed forces. Regardless of each of your (our) individual views on war or not to war, those people have families and they themselves are about to be in harms way and they need to be remembered in prayers or meditation or whatever your into. I have a good bro I session with from Houston who is leaving for Saudi in a few weeks. Snobal, I know you were military too. I salute all of you and want you to know I appreciate and respect your service to our nation.
I'm not going to comment on any of the rubbish being thrown down on here. But I do know this: Those sand dunes over in that desert would make a killer skatepark. PAVE IRAQ!!!!!!!! Oust Saddam and let's skate!

Seriously, I really hope skateboard slalom becomes an olympic sport some day, mostly so I won't have to keep convincing my wife that's it's really OK for grown-ups. :] It'll also give Cliff Coleman a chance to coach a team and show the international community that we're not all a bunch of lunk heads ;)

Kevin, If you would like to tell us what area you live in, I`m sure some folks would gladly get together to ride. Maybe a post over on the "Events Forum" would be appropriate.
While I`m not sure at 12 you fully understand what adults get all in a fuss over, please understand that sometimes it`s about what`s in your best interest.

jonnyx, I have no problem with the act you are proposing, but the relevance of banning skateboard purchases to make a statement for US to change their poloicy (not that I said it needs changing...don`t know all the facts).
Now to stop consumption of chocolate or tea because of child slave labor used to procur it (still happening in West Africe and India) is more direct and effective.
What you are asking is for skateboard manus or retailers to make a political statement to appease your own falicies is ridiculous. A classic example is what I`ve been saying all along....I HAVE NO OPINION ON THE PRPOSED WAR!! And yet if I didn`t subscribe that I adhere to your philosopies then I must be against them.
So would you recommend someone to purchase products from companies or retailers that DON`T want to make a political statement?
Maybe now is where is start responding to my questions and stop with your rhetoric.....

brady, i capitalised the relevant section already.
CONSUMERS QUESTIONED THEIR STORE OWNERS
the economy has historically been a major reason for change of government in the USA hasnt it?
im not asking manus or retailers anything, i just want to be able to offer skateboard consumers in the outside world a choice. ethical consumer guides are available for everything from coffee to cars so why not skateboards? why would you want to deny anyone a choice?

Could some please direct me to an Iraqi skateboard site? Jonnyx has convinced me. Since America is so fascist and racist, I think it's important to move on from this free and unfettered exchange of ideas on a website based out of Oakland California.
It's time I went and read the real uncensored thoughts of the free and wonderful people who live between the Tigris and Euphrates.
Please post the URL for one of these Iraqi skateboard websites. I would love to see how a really free people talk about their government and their skateboarding.

You`re missing the bigger pisture in the question I asked you..... how "all these skateboard companies and how lost sales will affect change in US government policies?"
By going directly at something that supports another is one thing but what you`re asking is for a skateboarding retailer or manufacturer to take a stance that may lessen sales with no direct corleation for effective change.
