I emailed the "project detention" to ask what they pay for footage, figuring it was another tv show looking for other people to give them footage so they can own it, edit it and sell it in their program for them to make money on but for you to get credits. 1. credits are useless, I've had credits in over 180 broadcast tv shows, no one ever hired me based on seeing a show or my name listed in the credits in the show. 2. they are selling the show for money, I believe that the person who spent the money on the camera, tape and the time to get the clips should be paid for their work and expenses as should the skater involved. It''s time to get these "extreme sports" shows to kick down some of the bucks.
They aren't doing the editing for free, and giving the program to a network to do as they please as some form of charity work, skaters and filmers shouldn't do it either. The new model for TV seems to be some type of vanity press. They'll put your name on tv for 2 seconds, all it costs you is a $2,000 camera, tape, and a person willing to be to their performing seal.

What are the producers of this show paying for footage? Is it a buy out, or a per showing license?

Nice links to '666' stuff. Especially like the bit about 'WWW' being 666 in Hebrew, looks like we'll have to boycott ncdsa now as well as PVD. Ooops, nearly forgot that I'm an atheist/agnostic so it doesn't apply to me, that was close. Just a shame I can't afford PVDs.

....From the trucks forum, stuff regarding "666" Informational stuff.
This is good reading.
Or how about the number 2/3rds, is that a bad one to use as well because the decimal equiv is .666666 infinity? What about DCLXVI, which are the roman numerals for the number?
Remember reading somewhere that 666 actually isn't the number of the beast. The correct number is 6 * 6 * 6, which is 216. Apparently, the monk who originally wrote this down didn't know much about mathematics, so he just wrote the 6's after each other.
Or if you really want to interpret things, according to the bottom of this page, http://www.yk.rim.or.jp/~elieshoh/666.htm, Al Gore is in fact the anti-christ.
For even more interpretations (albeit funny), http://www.jraxis.com/atheism/beast.php
How about rock albums that bare "666"? http://www.av1611.org/666/rock_666.html
What about barcodes and 666: The Mark of the Beast? http://www.av1611.org/666/barcode.html
Still hungry for more info?! http://www.bilderberg.org/shengen.htm

Paul,
I'd imagine we can put a couple of rooms together once everbody confirms they are attending.
If possible we can try and segregate between the regular/goofy/ski stance crowds.
Some people just shouldn't mix.

Hopefully I'll be going to the 3rd gathering, when I know for sure and if I make a reservation at some place like the recommended Summerfield Suites I'll announce it here or on the "slalom" page for anyone interested in pitching in to split costs. Working is bad, skating is good.

Leo, I am planning on attending the Gathering. I'll probably either arrive early or stay after for a couple of extra days. Winter in Chicago has been white, not from snow, but from all of the road salt that the city keeps putting down in anticipation of "snow". It never comes. We'll need a foot of rain to wash it all into the lake.

I am posting this here cause I didn't think it right to put it where I wanted to reply cause it isn't soulful. This is an open invitation to erik to respond with his negative comments to my email or have the nuts to put his email address on there when he wants to harsh on what someone writes in that forum. I have never before been offended by someone on this site. First off punk you are dead wrong about what I think about longboarding. Secondly what kind of punk a.. stuff is that to harsh someone else's buzz on what he thinks about the sport. Finally read the posting gideliness tough guy that's not what this is here for. Maybe I should have taken the high road and just let that comment pass with out a response, but when I write something like that which came from my heart, nay my SOUL I find it hurtful, disrespectful, and just mean spirted to respond like that. So erik don't be a punk, if you got something to say to me, say it in my email or better yet to my face and we'll talk about it or settel it on boards or any way you want to. Be a man erik not a punk. My email address is always there yours should be to.

#3 is to get your site linked up with other sites that have your target viewers already visiting them. So set up a nice links section. So once you have your content up, start emailing the established sites and asking them to "swap" links with you.
#4 Profit? Not sure there is such a thing for regular guys with websites... I am still trying to figure out a way to do that one!

And write about things that you didn't find in the Internet. That means you are bringing new information to the Intenet and it also gives you higher ranking hits in search engines. If there already is a lot of similar websites you could as well submit your content to an established web site. That way more people will find it.
