Yes Adam, big thumbs up on usability from h0dad.
This post is really just an excuse for h0dad to see his post come up on the front page.

Adam,
Kudos on the new front page and a question about managing posts in the various forums:
Are there any plans to move to a threaded discussion model like UBB or even an ASP-based UBB knock off? This would make it easier to keep track of a specific discussion thread.
Thanks!

Adam,
nice new look to the front page, however i now rarely look at the Home page, having the summary page bookmarked. what would be an improvement in my view, would be to get the summary page to "auto refresh" every 5 minutes
just my English 2p worth

From the webmaster..
The Ncdsa.com Home page has just undergone its first renovation in the site's history. It now contains live, up to the second summary information on the happenings in Ncdsa.com's forums. Thanks to everyone who contributed ideas to this project!

We will update our website with more information for you and keep you posted through these message boards. Sorry, for any inconveniences.

Can't do that yet..h0dad's got a lab test for the next two hours. Antii S. Brax, you'll know how this feels. But over there is h0dad's 40 incher. He was up late last night cleaning and lubing. Got carried away and cleaned the wheel treads while playing Surfarosa. This friday night's gonna be an epic long noseride with a hot wind at his back, let it roll baby roll.

Rebuilding old Trucks. Does anyone know where I can get the kingpin replaced on a Bennett Vector truck or a good DIY fix? I recently picked up an wooden old board (no name) with Bennetts and Kryptonic C-70s at a yard sale for $4. I'd say it's from about 1977. I rode it around my driveway with my son for several days before the back truck broke. The kingpin snapped and the seat is completely stripped. Both trucks could use new bushings and pivots. This would just be nice to have for nostalgia. Thanks!

1986! (amended 1994)
I need coffee to get the brain into gear.
We once did a mock trial for a fictitious guy who had been caught having sex with a horse.
My mitigating circumstances for this guy were that he was in a "Stable Relationship".
No wonder I sell skateboards now. I wasnt cut out for a career in law.

Wonder what amounts to assualt in the US? I was going to ask a Police Officer but Rodney King might be a better choice!

section 4, public order act 1992 "violent or abusive language or behaviour or behaviour liable to cause a member of the public to fear for their own safety" i only know this because i got charged with it a few years ago, and acquitted because it was supposed to be against a policeman. an acting police officer is NOT a member of the public. jonny walks

In answer to the query on Kennys page;
Whilst I agree that someone is innocent..etc etc, Arab has threatened to hit someone (JA) at the race in SF. I havn't seen a retraction. And if there has been one I apologise for not keeping up with things.
Fact is that threatening an assualt is serious...indeed assualt can be done without even laying a finger on someone.
"Assault is a hostile act that causes another person to fear attack."
In the UK, yeah I know its not the US, if you FEEL or FEAR that you are about to be hit, it is almost the same as being hit itself.
Now, if I was the organiser of the competition (and I have organised comps) and I knew that there was a threat of violence from one party I'd be pretty keen to make it obvious that such behavior was not tolerated. As I see it Arab has threatened violence. At this point in the UK he would'nt be able to take part in the Comp unless he retracted his threats and the other party was OK about it. We have rules to cover this in the code for the UKSSA. Simple.
Violence or threats of violence should not be tolerated and should lead to immediate disqualification.
I apologise if the facts would be read differently in the States, I'm not an expert on US law (nor UK law for that matter!). Anyway, its not 'law' its common sense!

Here's another vote for getting more out of the search function. I agree this site is too deep with wisdom for a 100 post limit on searches. My suggestion is to be able to search by forum, that way I can narrow a search to the trucks forum without getting overwhelmed by posts from decks, buy-sell-trade, etc. Perhaps a search button on every forum...
