I was cruising down a parking garage with some friends. I think we were going between 20-25 mph. The whole thing is just downhill with full U-turns before you make it to he next level. Anyways, I'm cutting through one of the turns when my friend right behind me hit an oil slick and slides right into me. I flipped over completely and landed standing up. However I had so much momentum I twisted my left leg so hard I fractured the knee. Moral: It's fun to bomb runs with friends, but don't stay too close too them. You want to watch out for them in case they fuck up, not be involved in their fuck up.

Ok OK, you fools have inspired me to share my drunken crash story. It seems that there are too many of these.... Anyway, I was going to an beer drinking function with all intentions of getting fucked up, Knowing this, I decided not to drive my car, but instead I would ride my new longboard. Anyway, I drink countless beers at this function. I guess I was very intoxicated. So then it is time to leave so I get on my skateboard and suddenly find that I can't skate! I mean I keep biffing it. I am only going about five miles an hour, but I must have fallen about eight times in the first 1/2 mile. So anyway, I finally fall backwards, land on my butt, and smack my head on the street. Did I mention the fact that this was in the middle of the street? So any way I am sick of falling, so I just lay there. My Buddy is laughing and yelling at me to get out of the street, but I am not moving. A tow truck driver saw me and called the police. My buddy is trying to convince him that I am really OK and the police don't need to be called. My buddy finally pursuades me to get up (he said the cops were coming). It was at this time I noticed that I had blood spurting out my head. Next thing I know three cop cars, a fire truck and an ambulance show up. I try to convince them I am really ok, just drunk, but they think I need stitches. Anyway after much discussion, they finally convince me to get in the ambulance (the cop said go to the hospital or go to jail). So they load me up with my longboard on my chest and take me to the hospital. Now I don't have insurance so I don't want stiches because they are bucks. The paramedic wheels me into the hospital on the strecher (still with my board) and leaves. I get up, get my shit together and walk out into the hallway. Now you have to realize the stae of drunkeness I am in. I know I can't just stand in the busy hallway looking stupid and bloody, so I exit the building. I am now out in the parking lot and have no idea what hospital I am at. I wander the parking lot and see a lady getting into her car. I approach her and give her my sob story (the events you just read). She feels sorry for me and gives me a ride home. I found out later from my roomates that it was a brand new mercedez(or however you spell that car). I just hope I did'nt bleed in her car. Luckily that is my only crash story, so I thought I would share. Peace out and when you skate, don't drink-smoke pot instead! Oh yeah, I made it home and still had my board!

This story is not as eatshit as the others, but it does have a happy ending. I was stationed over in Germany, and where I was at it was common to bring your skates to the clubs. So anyhow,I'm all boozed and skated since it was helluva lot cheaper than a taxi. The hill to the club is a fun trot. You can hit about 30 with no problem. So I huck this hit, trying to go as fast as possible.I had no idea what had happened untill I stopped sliding.I had landed chest first and bounced my head off the pavement. When I got up,my jacket was torn, and my knuckels were hamburger.I still didn't relized my head had a trickel of blood.I figured I slamed at about 35 mph. I figured what the hell, and still went to the club.Wat a sight I was.I got cleaned up,bought a beer, and got laid an hour later. Don't drink and skate in Germany, you will get a DUI. OUTTA HERE!

ehhh, well, these stories are really freaky, I haven't fallen that nasty yet, but I've had some pretty nice falls, like this time when I was riding with a friend. He had one of those short boards and I was goin really fast approaching him from behind, when I was almost besides him he tried to do some kind of trick and his skateboard got stuck under my Gravity longboard and sent me flying through the air, I was lucky nothing happened to me, I only scratched my palms, got some bruises on my hips and messed up my elbow a little bit. That's all dudes (There's some good sidewalk surfing here in Puerto Rico too)

This crash is story is dedicated to CJ Malcom, the man the myth the legend. Who is completely nuts and eats it everyday. We had been bombing hills all day, feeling pretty good about ourselves. We head off to one particularly steep hill we know of. We approach the hill with my friends truck and stared down the hill thinking there's know fuckin way I am bombing this but I bet that CJ will. So CJ asks me, "You gonna bomb it?" I replied, sure dude, after you. The madman started down the hill cutting left and right quickly picking up speed. From the top of the we noticed the speed wobble become too intense with one and three quarters of a mile left to go. Then it came to the point, we all knew he was fucked, he probably knew it to. His last desperate attempt for one final cut, the back end slid out from under him sending him hurling through the air. He finally hit the pavement going into a perfect tuck and roll. Continuing down the hill for a good fifteen feet. We finally reached him and he was just lying there perfectly still, bleeding from several spots. He was complaining about his arm, but I just told "Suck it you pussy, your arm's fine." I guess him was a little sore, I saw him later that night with a cast on his arm. The coolest thing about the whole situation was we went bombing later that night. CJ Malcom you are a madman. You have some serious problems.

i was carving'n this super steep hill and a dog ran out in front of me. I swerved to miss the poofy stupid freak of a maltese terrier( Those white fluffy ones) i looked in front of me to see a stupid garbage truck that i got catapulted into head first. When i finaly came to I had gashes all over my face and chest from the glass which resulted in 50 stitches. the only reason i`m still alive is because of my helmet. all this caused by a stupid little fluff ball, next time i`m going down that hill in my car I`ll splatter the dam thing all over the road.

am i the only chic who longboards? (besides my roommates) i have got the scars to prove it too. i ride a hand-made "Ideal" board. it kicks ass. by far the my best run and crash was made in Salt Lake City Utah. there is an avenue that runs really steep for about 50 blocks with only a few stop signs and few cars. it was about 4 am and we were cruising at probably 25-30 mph. we were completely tucked down, going as fast as possible. all was well until a car ran a stop sign, hit me and my board. talk about bad timing! it killed my board, and sent me sailing into road rash hell. i have healed and i haven't slowed down at all. email me if you feel like it. i would like to know that there are other female longboarders!

Last week I was skating and I bombed a pretty good sized hill. My friends and I usually go from somewhere around the middle but the genius I am, I decided to take it from the top. My trucks were as loose as they go and right near the bottom I get monster speed wooble an I fell off going abou 30-35. I broke my wrist and have to wear a cast for 6 weeks. I was lucky though, if I had hit my head going at that speed I probably wouldn't be able to type this rirht now. I WOULD BE DEAD OR BRAIN DAMAGED! So wear a helmet, eh?

This story is not as bad as some of these gruesome tales here, like the guy that busted a butt through a window! Me and my friends were all boozing at my ranch and we decided to hit the local run in Bend. We had Zabadooskie's Lawn Mower (car) and the kill tunes. I've skated all my life but not much downhill, so I try out my friend's Sector. It was wierd and I couldn't get the feel so I just started bombing the hill. It was steep and curvy. I started hauling and barely holding off the wobs. As I hauled by the Mower I saw my two troll friends boozing and heckling me. I knew if I ended up mincemeat it would be unending insults from the trolls. So I punched it for the curb, spotted a spot where the sidewalk gave way to some dirt without any trees, and going about 40 slammed into the curb. I went flying off and tucked into a roll, popped up in a full run, chased down the board that was careening down the hill ghost-style, and ended up without a scratch. It was because of the booze. Thanks for reading, peace.

It all started late one night , my best friend and I were having a few drinks and we got the idea to skate a hill that during the day is busy but at night it would be pretty empty. We went to investigate. As we suspected the street was empty . My buddy went first. I followed in the car, so he could see the road becuase there are no lights on this street. He made his run it was not to fast but he got it up to 28 or so. Now it was mt turn. I started of slow through the upper residential area then I went for the bomb. I got into my tuck and took off. Chris following me in the car was going over 30. Now we got to the steep section of the hill. From inside the car Chris said I took off like night rider (kitt 2000). I was pretty haired for the first block or so but soon I had the wobble under controll, and the board actually felt like it stiffened up and really took off. The only problem I had now was that I couldn't see where I was going. faster and faster . then I saw the bottom of the hill I didn't like it. There was one of those big concete rain gutters and lots of traffic without any stop sign. At this point Iwas ready to go with god . I tried to slow with a few carves but they were only narrow S turns and had very little effect. as I neared the intersection I knew that this was the moment I stepped off the board.I gor a few steps in then I toumbled My buddy was there adout a minuet later. I was in some bodys frount yard half in their bushes and on there picket fence. My hip was ground down into the meat and my elbows were in the same condition. After I bandaged my self up Chris estimated my speed at upwards of 45 to 50. So now I tell you I still had alot of fun that night.
Oh yeah wear thick jeans when youskate at night.they saved my legsfrom being ground off.

A friend and I were charging d.h. on my college campus. It was a nice ass day outside, so many people were present to witness the madness. The hill wasn't too steep at first, but we hit this bend in the road and the shit dropped quick. We had been poundin all day (not recommended before riding fast, we learned the hard way) so we decided to take charge and show all of these Northern Virgina geeks what's real. I was leading and my pal had never rode longboard before so I dragged my foot for about 20 feet hoping he would follow. He didn't and since he already was a mad wobbler, he plowed me right over. I thigh-skidded out right through a curb and a crowd of leery freshmen. A few of them saw it coming and dipped, but the rest got ankled. I rolled into the grass and down into a ditch under a little bridge. I felt like a damn troll with the billy goats gruff. As for my cohort-in-spillage, he landed a bit more safely. I took pix of my thigh-carnage and showed em off for a while until I got scars. When I saw the opportunity to share, I jumped on it. Thanks for readin.

One day I was checking out this little hill in my nieghborhood, and about half way down the hill there was a street you could cut back onto and connect to a longer hill. I decide to try for the cutback. What I didn't see was all the rocks right there next to the intersection. Well as I rounded the corner, my wheels caught on one of these rocks just right and off I went. I still have the scars on my elbow from the road rash, and I got a concussion from the head injury. Two morals. One wear a helmet when trying out some intense corners and two,Cheak the road ways for rocks and trash on the road.

It was the second day i got my longboard. I did not know about speed wobble or to carve to reduce your speed. So me and my friend decided to go down this STEEP hill. i probabley got up to 20-25 mph. It was wobbling so much i did thing i could control it so i bailed. i hit the pavement with the front of my foot so i fell scraped up my elbow my hip and my entire left side and hands. What i learned from this is to always have control of your board and wear pads, they can save you from alot of pain.

I was just cruisin' down a little hill with some friends not knowing the impending doom which was awaiting me around the next turn. I was first around the turn and saw I was at the top of a monstrous death canyon(hill). Wanting to take on this beast I quickly proceeded to bomb the hill in a tuck. about half way down a car aproached I attempted to turn but was overtaken by speed wobbles upon which I fliped over a mailbox and crashed ass first through the window of a parked car

I was skating down a hill on our street on a short board. I was going about 20, and I started to carve. Not knowing that the third bolt on my front truck disappeared seconds before. I lifted my board, still at speed, and when I attempted to put it down, the board stopped. I launched ten feet and rolled to a stop. I burned my back, hands, knees, and one of my feet because my shoe fell off. I have two morals to this story. First, make sure your board is in working condition, and that you have at least 3 bolts in your trucks. Second, wear socks and tie your shoes!!!

So, I was using my friend Mikkels board, going about 25 mph down a hill at my Dad's house on Bainbridge (by Seattle), and I got speed wobble, I didn't realize I was going so fast (my brother told me later) so I thought I could jump of and run with it. I tried. Pavement scrapes pretty bad. I fell and got a scrape 2 inches wide and about 6+ inches long on my knee and a 2x2 inch one on my elbow. It hurt later on but I had so much adrenalin running my leg was bouncing unvolentarily. It was weird. I still have the scars!!!!!!!!!

I was cruising down Mokapu blv. by Kalaheo Highschool at about 12:30 at night. My friends were following me in the van and said I was going 'at least' 20mph. I made colmen slide and everyone cheered (I was feeling pretty good). Then I decided to bust a hand-stand. I got up easily and I was crusing along until I hit a manhole cover. I got some serious speed wobble; I knew it was over. I flew forward and rolled but my pads saved me. I thought the worst was over, then I heard the brakes screeching. Next thing I knew I was in the hospital because the van had crushed my knee and shattered my shin.
Stupid friends in van suck!!!

When you're cruising around in the city drop knee, brushing the chain link fence with your hand. Make sue your ass doesn't hit a lightpole. When my ass hit the lightpole, my fingers got hung up in the fence and snapped the bones in my hand in half. So watch your ass.
