Here are the three historical boards from the 70', from historical skateboarders:Warptail two Stacy PERALTA (ACS 580, PARK RIDER 4)ALVA 30' (ACS 580, green KRYPTO 65mm)ZFLEX Jay....Hu! Jimmy PLUMER! well, yes, I know, I should have the Jay ADAMS model, but, well, I didn't had the choice when I found this board, and I'm so proud to have this NOS never drilled board.... More than this, I REALY like very much Jimmy PLUMER! I know some about old school skate gear, but off the top of my head I was wrong when adding "Logan" to the wheel name! That was my auction, and yes they did sell fast for $374.99. In the auction text I posted a note on the time frame:--They called these metal cores 'The Nucleus'; here's their definition straight from the [b:u4onlrwh]Dec 1978 [/b:u4onlrwh]Skateboarder Magazine:"What is THE NUCLEUS? it's a casing for your bearings which is cast right into the wheel. made of precision machined aluminum, lightweight and durable with high tolerances, it insures positive bearing alignment for greater speed, more precise control of the board, and a smoother, more consistent ride."-------------------They could have sold some in the 1980's from the original batch, because skateboarding started to die off in 1979.[quote="vintageman":u4onlrwh]Rick Sayers, Mr Know It All... Park Rider 4.5 (which I never ever knew existed) kinda looks1980s to me. No idea when made. Do you have time period knowledge?Regardless, look at this recent sale!! Went very very fast!!http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0445408143CheersVintage Man[/quote:u4onlrwh]

YARGLLLL !!!!!!I like so much SANTA CRUZ skateboards from this period! (After 1980...well, no, it's just not possible...).My very first serious board (you know, just after those awfull plastic board from Ta+»wan...) was a complete SANTA CRUZ KT 24....and I still have it! I gave all my money for that board (you can't imagine the price of this kind of board in France in 1978...). ACS 500 and POWER PAW, the trucks and whells are the originals.[img:1rawycgg]http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e231/valensole/DSCF0306.jpg[/img:1rawycgg]

LACADUR are french trucks, they works like hell! (pro-rider, Vincent LANGLADE, still use them!). KJELL where coming from Switzerland (Swiss), they are very seriously made. The VAL 2000 works very well, I like very much those trucks, they are very turny. and you are right, they are very similar in there works as the Radikal.

A lot of the Logan Park Rider wheels where modified and lathed down for slalom - people like Dobie and Chris Charalambous rode lathed down versions back in the early 80's.

DazI have both these in my collection. I will try to post some pics for you. The Skuda does come up on that well known auction website now and then but the Alley Cat i have only ever seen once and was lucky enough to win it although the wheels are not in the best of condition and only one still has the logo on. You are right about the wheels they are SK3's. I am looking for some SK5's at the moment to finish a Skuda LA deck i managed to pick up.If you look on skateboardzoo.com you will se an excellent example of the alley cat wheels.I will post some pics of the boards for you soon.Rgds Shaun

Hi, Im new to this forum and came across it by accident.Im trying to locate and buy a couple of old skateboards I used to use when I was in my youth in the UK. Ive looked everywhere. Does anyone remember these, 'Alley cat skateboard', the model with the black deck and yellow wheels? if my memory serves me correct, these wheels were really soft, and this was a really smooth fast ride! The other skateboard, I think was called 'Supa Skuda', it had a blue almost transparent deck and orange SK3 or maybe SK5 wheels. These boards were also very smooth and fast.Any info and help with the above is much appreciated!!Many thanks Daz

thank you for the pictures, rare and originals trucks!the hanger seems pretty strong, and these kind of trucks are certainly not coming from Taiwan back in the past. From this side of the ocean, I never saw them no more. So, I can say they are not european no more. They are probably from U.S.A? I will look in my old Skateboarder's magazines if I can find an advertising for those trucks.
