Hi everyone,
I'd just like you all to know that there might be a slight chance of getting street luge in the Asian X-Games. On the Asian X-Games website, there is a poll that asks what sport needs to be added. Refer to the picture below. This is a screenshot of the poll currently on my computer screen. Just yesterday, street luge and BMX downhill were very close to each other, being 9.22% and 9.96% respectively. However, the percentage for street luge has dropped today to 8.97%.
Here is the URL: http://www.asianxgames.com
So what are you waiting for? Tell EVERYONE YOU KNOW IN THE GRAVITY SPORTS COMMUNITY, (street lugers, buttboarders, downhill skateboarders, downhill inliners, gravity bikers, and dirtsurfers) to vote for street luge! And not just the gravity sports community, tell your family and friends, be they rider or non-rider! Also tell our supporters! It's about time we got attention for gravity sports in the Asian X-Games! Skateboard street is going to be pretty difficult to beat at 48.28%, but it'll be a starting point if we could at least beat BMX downhill!
Bob Swartz told me that the Summer X-Games in the USA and the Asian X-Games are two totally different animals. If Summer X-Games dropped street luge, there's no reason why Asian X-Games can't add it. And who knows, if Asian X-Games does get street luge added (hopefully for the final year in Malaysia for 2004), we might have a slim chance of getting street luge back in the Summer X-Games!
Marcus Rietema, please email me on what the procedures are going to be in anticipation of having street luge added to the Asian X-Games once we receive some feedback from the webmasters at ESPN Star Sports.
All you other pro riders out there, Dave Rogers, Biker Sherlock, Lee Dansie, Tom Mason, Bob Swartz, Chris McBride, Jeremy Kahn, and ALL OF YOU whom I haven't mentioned, if you want another prestigious event for the 2003-2004 season, this just might be your chance! I know of a very good place in Malaysia to hold the event. It's at Genting Highlands. There's several hotels at the top, and they have a theme park and all sorts of other tourist attractions including the only legal casino in Malaysia too! Genting Highlands is like the Las Vegas of Malaysia when it comes to the slots! It's a solid 30km all the way from the top to the bottom! Of course the race course isn't going to be that long, maybe 2km for the race, but I have very reliable sources telling me that there are some sharp 90 degree turns and various other challenging elements for a good race course. If we do have a race there, we'll have an awesome after party in downtown Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, which is only an hour away from Genting Highlands!
All you other underground riders in Asia, guys like Matt Traver in Hong Kong, please vote too! (Sorry I haven't had time to reply your email, been busy with college). And you lugers in Australia, you guys should be in Malaysia too since we're the closest to you for a race, so vote your heart out! Pat Brennan, please spread the word to other fellow Aussies and also LugeAustralia and AGRA!
And to all other Malaysians and Singaporeans, especially those in my team, it is very important that we vote! Andrew, what are you waiting for? Tell Stephen, Mali and Nazrie!
And for those who have access to multiple different computers, (on university campuses especially), USE ALL THE COMPUTERS THAT YOU CAN TO VOTE! I'm assuming that the percentage is calculated from different IP addresses, so each computer in a university network has its own unique IP! What does this mean? This means that you can't vote twice on the same machine! So go out forth and vote for street luge!
This will be the first time that a street luge competition is held on the Asian continent. Let's beat Skateboard Street! Off we go!

Well the auction for that custom gravity bike fork is over and the winner is... "DR.NO!!!!!!" Thanks for supporting this good cause and the money will be donated to the Injuried Riders Fund". For info. about this fund, go to www.gravitybike.com. The fork went to a good home... hopefully we will see it at the races this year. As "the Squirrel" would say, "Cya at the hill".

If you are new to the sport... spend $14.95 and buy the Street Luge Survival Guide by Darren Lott. It is a must have. Don't consider it a purchase, think of it as an investment! Ride safe...

Eric Eisenberg, On GravityBike.com you posted the following message: anyone intrested i a gbike fairing i produced these so im offering them for sale im current ly moving so my phone is flakey right now but if seirous e-mail me(only if seirious im not kidding)
Yes Eric, as a matter of fact I am interested. I discussed with you the need for new fairings and you agreed to use one of my fairings to produce a mold to work from for these new fairing designs. You would not set a price for the mold and told me to wait to see what you would have in them. I did.
That was in early September.
The fairings were supposed to be finished in time for the riders to use them at the Bainbridge Gran Prix.
I have contacted you on multiple occassions attempting to atleast pick up my fairing and you elude me every time. Numerous phone calls have gone unreturned by you. I have tried all conventional ways to have MY property returned to me. Latest phone call was made four to five hours proir to your posting of this message and you neglected to return the calls and then post offering the result of OUR business agreement to the public.
I now request publicly that you return my phone calls so I can arrange to have my property returned to me.

OK OK I'll read it, but I am having allot of fun(safe fun) already. I added a truck to the front and tightened them all and the slight wobble I had is gone. Turning is easy, just requires a little body english. I am doing 38 - 40ish mph on the hills, but only for about 10 seconds. I need a longer run.

Hi hc,
I live in Eureka, in Humboldt County. Redwoods, rain and pot. It is about 6 hours north of SF. I moved here from the Bay Area about 3 months ago, before I discovered streetluge. My second woodie is finished and the better wheels make a big difference. No I have not read the luge survival book, but it all seems pretty straight forward, common sense, safety, and being aware of your surroundings. I found the IGSA rules online, my board seems to qualify.
Thank for responding.

I am building my second woodie after building my first last week. Had to stop because the saw is loud at 1:00am. I live in Eureka, California and I am looking to meet some lugers. I have some nice hills a few hundred feet from my house, but I want to run a long stretch.
