Sebastien,
Check out the CAN forum. Lots of Canadien action. The Montrealers threw a great a event with the Top Challenge this year. There is the Gathering happening soon. Slolom and Longboarders mostly, but probably a good lot of lugers too. Come on out, the more the merrier!

STEVE PEARL
Our prayers go out to Steve and his family.
We went to see Steve Monday afternoon and he was still being a tuff cookie. We got him a card and read it to him.
It had doctors standing around a patient and one doctors had a roll of duct tape in his hand. The doctor was saying that there isn't anything that can't be fixed with duct tape. When he heard that, he told us that is what he told the doctors to do.
It was really cool because it got a smile and little laugh out of Steve.
McLemore said it all, Steve is about the only person in this sport that is the hardest worker and would do anything for anybody. Steve’s school was doing very well and he was bringing in the money and it will be a while before he can get back on his feet so we all need to help out.
All donations can be sent to.
Wild Fro Racing P.O. Box 7058 San Mateo, CA 94403
We will be holding a big raffle at Barrett and all of the donations will be going to the Pearl family. So all of you that would like to donate product for this raffle please contact me. Bob Ozman ozman.b@gravity-sports.com
Again the Pearl family is in all of our prayers daily.

Yes, I was refering to Steve. He took out 10 bales on Sunday hitting pretty hard. His back had a bruise in the lower lumbar region, and the last I heard he couldn't feel anything from the chest down. But his breathing was normal and he was conscious. I will check the other site, thanks.

Inspired by the legendary Leon Smith, Street Luge has its 1st Annual Riders Choice Awards. The Racers' Choice awards carry a great deal of respect in that lugers are judged by their peers. This is announced now, so when you are racing in Frisco, you can eye potential candidates.
These awards will be presented at the IGSA West Coast World cup at Barret Junction in October. If winner is not present, we will celebrate in your honor, and you will receive your commendation via snail mail.
Here is how it works - Vote for your racer to the criterion listed below. The list of racers is on the IGSA and GSI websites. The only rules are that they have had to race during the 2003 season in any event that is nationally or internationally recognized, and you can't vote for yourself. The person with the most votes in their criteria wins. Any ties will then be decided on the palate of judges of RCA (Racers Choice Awards). Winners receive, at this point, a certificate of commendation. However, we are looking for sponsors and shwag for each category - So, if you want to donate product or anything you think might be nice to get, please e-mail me at Luge668@aoldotcom, replacing the dot with a "."
Submit all votes to Jeremy Kahn (me!) at my e-mail.
----------------------------------------- -------- 1. Top Male Racer 2. Top Female Racer 3. Rookie Of The Year (Must have raced ONLY during 2003 season). 4. Most Improved Racer 5. Street Luge Legend of the year (The overall best Racer, Person, Doer, just who you think is a legend). ------------------Parts & Performance------------- Same rules and all, but this is for the manufactures to boast about an achievement!
1. Innovation of the year (Be it the boomless or the number plates.. Use your imagination!) 2. Luge of the year 3. Wheel of the year 4. Truck of the year

2003 IGSA World Cup USA Venue Change
The International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) has announced that the USA World cup event scheduled for October 17-19 2003 in Bainbridge, Ohio is being moved. The event will now take place October 24-26 2003 at Barrett Junction, Ca near San Diego. According to IGSA President Marcus Rietema, “ Last week we were contacted by the Ohio event promoter F-6 Racing and told that they would be unable to organize the event due to financial difficulties. “
F-6 Racing’s Rusty Riley explained that he could assist the IGSA with organizing the event, but that they could not make the financial or time commitment to organizing the event. This left Rietema and IGSA vice president Bob Ozman with a major dilemma. Either take over the event in Ohio, move the event, or cancel the event. With the overwhelming success of the 2003 IGSA World Cup Series, canceling the event was never a legitimate option. Both Rietema and Ozman live in California so organizing a World Cup event from across the country with the short time frame, would be a very difficult task. They discussed this option at length and decided that if a suitable replacement venue could be found, they would move the event.
In the past week, four separate venues were discussed and local governments contacted regarding permits and availability. In the end, Barrett Junction, CA presented itself as the best available venue. According to Rietema, “Barrett Junction is a popular track with the riders and its proximity to an international airport, banquet facilities, campgrounds and the Mexican border town of Tecate convinced the IGSA that it would be the best option for both the IGSA and its’ competitors. With only ten weeks until the race date, the change to a California venue will allow us to present the best possible event.”
Complete event details will be available at www.gravity-sports.com the week of August 22th. The IGSA would like to apologize for any inconvenience the venue change has caused. Our hope is that F-6 Racing can return the Ohio event to the IGSA event schedule in 2004.

Street Luge School...Chosen for "Best of Bay Area Backroads"
We were just notified by Bay Area Backroads that the TV segment on Wild Fro Racing LLC's street luge School in Pacheco State Park was chosen by viewers as one the best on BAB (KRON-TV, Ch 4 in SF) and will be edited to air on their "Best of Bay Area Backroads" in September or October.
We just came back from the Inner City Games sponsored in conjunction with Pure Guts and Hollywood Sports Park and we can say with no hesitation, that street luge was a real favorite with the visitors to the park.
If you wish to learn, ride, rent, test and just have plain fun, contact us at WildFro@aol.com or goto www.WildFro.com on how you and or your group can come ride "The Dinosaur", 2.5 miles of "Adrenaline Rush".

Are splitters worth the $45? For that price couldn't you just get another truck, and wouldn't that be better? Also, if I put splitters on my Z-maxi's wouldn't that eliminate the improvement of a solid axle? Ben
