Hey dan, When you say that the opaques are stickier, which series do you mean? They have three different types of longboard wheel (according to their web site), and they no longer carry black wheels. Do you mean the Classic K day glo's or the other two models? Thanks

The place: Brisbane, Australia. The event: Sony Extreem Games. The results....... Biker Sherlock took first, Waldo second and the Duck Sean Mallard 3rd. All of whom were using the best stand-up and street luge wheel available on the market today. Da Bomb da CHERRY BOMB. Yes we swept the event. Congrats to all three riders and thanks for your support. Need I say more about the rubber that we at eXkate pour! Actions are louder than words.

I agree with Evil Evans. I have a set of the blue 70mm Opaque Kryps (classics) on a G&S slalom deck with blue bushed exkates. I have NEVER EVER slid these things even when full out. If you never want to slide you can do no better.

I just bought a set of these and really like them. They're like the Retro model Krypto's with the radial inside and outsides, they come in White or Clear Red 65mm and 70mm, with a duro of 78.

Anyone ridden these? How do they compare to kryptos? I'm looking for a fast and sticky wheel to put on a surf cross over board, and I'm not too interested in sliding. I need these guys to STICK!!

Lets clear up a little confusion. As far as stickiness on the Kryptos go, you are all right! The solid (opaque) formulas from Kryptonics are much stickier than their clear (what they call "Day Glo") formulas. The clear wheels tend to start off very sticky, but as you use them, the lose some of their gripiness and become predictable sliders (this is very nice), but they tend to wear out quickly. The solid formulas stay very grippy (I have blacks and blues) and last much longer, too. Hope this clears (no pun intended) things up a little.

I think there is a very gripy wheel on the market !!! the Xtreme S/S Performance Street Wheelz the Kit costs 85 $ but you can be sure they are gripy the problem can be to adapt them on a longboard, because of their diameter.

hey if you want the most grippy wheel on the planet then you need to get the new Power Paw White super grips 70mm or 65mm they have a Kevlar core in them, they are so grippy you won't believe it, Bruce Jones, or Purple Skunk..carry them, they are coming on all Real Wood and Dewey Weber longboards stock.

The stickiest wheel I have ridden is the new Kryptonic Route 70 in the opaque blue formula. Far stickier than any clear wheel I've ridden, including a close runner-up, the 66mm Gravity Classic in 78A.

Allrighty fellas, I need some serious carving wheels. I need wheels that grip so good it isn't funny in fact I want wheels that grip so good that it's scary. I don't care about sliding, I don't care about size, I don't care if they are heavy, and I don't care if they are slow. I need wheels that stick to the road like melted Gummi Bears(hey not a bad idea). My freind has some Kryptonics 70mms and they were great the first week but then they started loosing grip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I' ve got a set of 70mm nineballs from Sector9. There really soft and sticky but incredibly slow. Could any body recomend me a really fast set of wheels? I've heard the 72mm Super-G's are quite good but how are they compared to turbo wheels from exkate? Thanks for your help

I have a pair of these... They are cool. The board they are on is just for carving, so I have not slid them yet. I like them, but they don't seem to go any faster than Route 70's. They look phat on the board though...

Can anyone compare the e.Xkate Turbo Wheels with the Bare Back large wheels? They are both 76mm 78a. I'd be interested in any comments on either of these wheels. Thanks!
