Fixing the slowmotion effect

Adam N, I hate to double post as it is clearly against your guidelines-but in this case I did because I am not sure Floyd checks this forum as regularly as the slalom forum and the slalom forum posts get buried so quickly. Getting the proper Codecs would make all of the downloading slalomers a lot more happy.
"Floyd, You mentioned you worked with video codecs. I was downloading some videos and I noticed that the compression algorithyms seemed to suck the speed out of the video as the subject "surges" forward as opposed to moving forward smoothly.
Where could we go on the web to download a video codec conversion program...so that when video is posted it will look as fast as when it was shot?"
Also can you convert already compressed video to smoother video.... or must you start with the original for best results... I am assuming the former.

Hi - I'm looking to trade for slalom and downhill video dubs(vhs) for personal viewing. Got approx 75 full length "conventional skate" vids, 90 percent oldschool(pools, vert, etc...), 1960's to present, some pretty rare. If interested in trading dubs, email me for my current list. I rarely post here so most of you probably don't know me. Check me out if you want. My ebay user id is robtho.....Lates

Finally got the video, totally worth the wait. They show pools, parks ,banks , downhill and It's all on long- boards.Wasn't sure those things were possible on a board over 36". Lots of footage all very tasty and some nice old school shots of Buttons surfing with a big ass fro mixed in with him skating. All the new school tricks are there except with form following function instead of ollie ollie ollie ollie. They could use some better music in parts and in Gravity girls shots they don't really show Elisa Shea who is really a good skater.
Totally worth 9.00 dollars.

As a newcomer to longboarding and living in a location where there are few accomplished longboarders to watch and learn from.I would like some recommendations about commercially available videos/DVDs which exemplify longboard techniques for newer riders. Also please advise where I can purchase these online. Thank you.

scooobey, also for berkeley footage, the gravity website has some in very small crappy resolution.
"20 to Life" has a good section all about downhilling in berkeley. not sure who carries it, i know that Comet distributes it, so try giving them a call or email.

Team FLoW (AKA Known) is a group of longboarders from the MD east coast region. We have just finished our first video entitled "FLoW" It consists of footage from skateparks, ditches, downhill, sliding, and Ireland riding, yes, I said IRELAND riding. If you are interested in learning more about our team, or our video, please contact me, Adam Reynolds, at Areyno17@aol.com. Copies of our video are available upon request.

A while back i came across a video on the net that had some mad sliding in it. I remember it took place on a populated street and had some cool footage of weaving thru traffic. Also it was done to the music of the White Stripes, I think the song was "Hello Operator." If anyone knows what I'm talking about please respond and post url if u can. THanks
