Forgot to make this explicit...
The House is actually a skatepark with all the fun of the fair, so bring your ramp ridin boards too.
Here's your equipment checklist:
1. Slalom deck w/ various duro wheels
2. Longboard, lights, pads and helmet
3. Pool/vert board

Now let's RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKK KKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

off-road mountain bike lights are great. Essential if you want to ride the Peaks at night so you can see the road, just as essential in town at night so you can shine em at cars to stop them pulling out in front of you...

Pass pass!!! I'm luck to walk to the bus stop. Normally I get the Mobility bus.

Sheffield is sounding wicked. Coaching and B group comp Saturday. Pro comp evening and longboarding all night. My I wish I were younger.
We should try to run the demonstartion events when there are spectators. Normally most will want to try after an event.
Lets sort out a day in early March.

Mad

Sheffield for Longboarders too!
On 1/21/2002 chris @ lush wrote in from (195.74.nnn.nnn)

we have some sweet riding to play with up here - we're thinking of maybe doing some massive night skate style thing, obviously IF IT'S DRY - you can get an all night bus pass (any time of the week) and ride some of the tidiest tarmac without traffic if you don't mind riding at 3am...
One thing - we don't have any trouble with police (normally) as we wear HELMETS and have LIGHTS, so if you're thinking of joining us bring yours along!
There's also the option of getting 20-odd riders out to the Peak District for a manic 4 mile speed run back into Sheffield. Bring your big wheels!
.. and pray for it to be dry.
:) it's gonna be awesome.

Slalom in Sheff
On 1/21/2002 SSofS wrote in from (217.204.nnn.nnn)

OK... here's the plans... MIchael Stride is coming up next Tuesday to sniff around and decide what sort of a contest is feasible in this venue and and we can start formulating what format this is going to take. Bear in mind that Im clueless and have never even ridden a slalom course... Is this a handicap? No: I can sort the venue, publicity, etc, but I need help and guidance on the details of running a demo /contest from people who have the experience. This venue I consider to be JUST long enough for a convincing run. Smokester, Clingathon, Stridemaster, etc. your input will be critical and I will be talking to all of you in due course. The contest/event will be in the next month or two. Exactly when depends on a number of factors.
Rest assured I am committed to making this event happen.
The only near-certainty is a post 9 pm start, making this a nite time event, freeing up superb after-midnight longboarding possibilities in this city of hills! The Lush longboard crew will be on hand to guide the braver ones up and down some excellent well-documented routes.
One way or the other, it's gonna RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCC CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be seeing you all soon!
