Pardon my envy, but you'll understand when you see what qualifies as a fun spot in Connecticut:

Jake: I know this is late; The 101 Loop ditches all blow chunks so far as I know. Anyone who insists is advised to use big soft wheels due to the extremely rough surface.

Is anyone up for some Abq. ditch runs this weekend? I just got a new ditch bomber and I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Indian school, maybe La Cueva or whatever. Email me.

Small new Ditch in Chantilly Virginia

here is a pic of a new ditch that I saw on a trip in Northern Virginia. i was in Chantilly Virginia not far from Dulles Airport.
From I-66 take route 50 (Lee Jackson Highway) until you get to Lee Rd which is on the left. Proceed down Lee Road and look towards your left . You will see a new Target Store and teh Ditch will be between Lee Road and the Target parking lot.
The ditch has a gentle downhill slope. There was some water trickling down the center but i am sure it would be dry in drier warm months.
Something for the Northern Virginia skaters.

Carlsbad Skatepark in Danger!
http://www.savecarlsbadraceway.com/
When you go to the site look at the skatepark below the raceway. It is the oldest first generation skatepark in America. It was built circa '75 and is in danger of being demolished. Please write-in to the site and please write the dignitaries posted on the site.

actually, 10/9 = 1.1111111111111111111111111111111111111111....... ....
.........sorry, I seem to tutor basic math more often than I skate these days. In fact, that's what I'll be doing on 10/9, given it's a Saturday and my only days off are Friday and Sunday. Hey JC, if you're still celebrating after I get off at 5pm, I'll have to catch up with ya and remember what ditch skating is like!

I'll be going out to Yuma AZ via San Diego later this month, and thought I'd solicit a run down of the local ditch scene – both in SD and Yuma (if any). I’ll be travelling I8 to/from Yuma, so any thing along that which is worth skating would be nice to know about as well.
I’ll be in Yuma Sun-Thur, then to SD for a bit of R&R Fri/Sat/Sun before returning home.
I have never skated a ditch, but have done some park skating and longboarding.
I have no clue about this area in terms of the bank/ditch scene (have never been to Yuma in my life). I'm soliciting for pool/parks over int the PP forum, so I think I'll have that covered...
I’m open to suggestions…
Any must-skate ditches or longboard runs that I should check out while in the SW?
