That's a sick mini-ditch! I've got a really nice one just down the block from my new place, I'll have to snap a photo and post it up.
The date for the January Rio Bravo Banked Slalom race has been set to Sunday, January the 23rd. Weather permitting of course.

I recently walked past a ditch I didn't know about, in Milton Keynes. Looks identical to the one at Caldecote lake. This one's at Willen Lake.

Try using this: http://terraserver.microsoft.com Type in your city, and it'll give you topo maps and aerial photos (though some photos may not be up to date). One of the best tools I've found for serious ditch/pool hunting...

Jc and Dan, Thanks for the Vegas advice. I will be bombing ditches in March then. Anyone here from Vegas to bail me out of jail? I'll pay you in advance. ;) And thanks for responding guys. I am being ignored on the Boardbuilding forum....and on SlalomSkateboarder.com. I guess I don't know the secret handshake. Silverfish Longboarding has been more friendly but I think they're all stoned. ;) Greg

Area 51 trip was fun as usual but there was a little water in some places. Crossing under the freeway was way to wet to try with tennis shoes on so we skated the east side, its not as fun and long as the west side.Area 51 is skate able but I will probably wait until spring time until i go back.

Abe Towery was running 56x101 Conspiracy wheels and still put a scare into all of us.
Will Brunson took the top spot, Ryan EP took second and GBM rounded out the podium. Palmer sat this one out after a tragic encounter with some Christmas decorations left him crippled.

Greg; I have a friend that grew up in those ditches. Says they always used them as the "fast route" to school. I'd say a little civil disobedience goes a long way. Towards fun.

Definetley bring your skate. Just do what i did, ignore the signs, jump the fences and skate them, worked great when i was in Vegas. I did not get hassled at all and I skated a bunch of different times at different ditches from 5am runs to rush hour. Check out the Anthem park too, my buddy loves it, i missed it when i was there last.

When I was in Vegas for business a couple of years ago I noticed miles of great ditches but they were all sealed up with chainlink fences and postered with signs about trespassing. I have to go again this winter and am thinking of taking a skate with me. Any clues on enforcement of the law in Vegas with regard to jumping fences and ditchriding? Thanks. Greg

Fine. Keep throwing down on Sunday's. I'll just hang out in my skatepark eating SweeTarts. George; take lots of pictures so I have another reason to hate all of you.
Have fun, you freaks. I hope this warm weather holds out for you. -JC-
