I noticed some more Flexdex bashing in the Completes section, and I got what I think is a very good idea. I think that some of you guys who HAVE RIDDEN Flexdex and know what sux about them, should call or email Flexdex and let them know why you have not been pleased with their boards' performance. This way, maybe they can make their boards better instead of making stuff people don't like. Then maybe you would like their stuff and have one more cool board to add to your collection instead of, as someone said, a "piece of junk that chips easy". Just a thought. Sarah

I was wondering if someone could give me an honest review of the Flexdex pro 60. I don't want a bashing I want a review. You know like what are it's strong points and it's weak points, what kind of riding is it good/bad for etc. Also if anyone was or was ridden a Kelly Slater mini 21 I'd like to here how that rides.
Thanks, JH

spin dog 45" concave kicktail with floral inlay deck, torsion 101's with black 82 durometer bushings, powerpaw 65mm center hub wheels. the deck has very agressive concave, causing unbelievable turning/carving when combined with the torsions. i weight 185 and i can skate right trough any sign of wobbles. that is half the battle of speed wobbles. those who are not willing to skate through shall wobble! you can bail or hang tough. i digress....

I just got off line with Phil at Flowlab. A test board is on its way to me... should be here the end of this week or begining of next. I will have the board for a couple of weeks to ride and review. If any of you So. Cal guys/girls want to check it out, shoot me an e-mail and we can set up a ride.
I am in Lancaster (aprox 60 miles north of LA, but I don't mind driving to meet in a central location) I have next week off for vacation... HR

41" slater with Exkate 101 and 65mm Kryptos is a GREAT turny flexy deck. If you want your board to do something other than that, I'd think twice but for surfy style extra tight turns this thing is the best.

This really doesn't belong in this section, but anyways.
Lots of things determine speed, but ABEC rating really isn't one of them. ABEC doesn't mean much in terms of speed in skateboarding. Wheels can make a difference, depending on the road, but the major factor is usually air drag. If he's passing you at the bottom, he's most likely drafting you. Also, how's your tuck? A superior tuck will cut down on air drag. Check out how the pros stand in their tuck (one example is John Hutson's "Hut Tuck" in the pictures section).

Me and my mate got our longboards at the same time so our bearings are probably the same worn in. Anyway he has a dregs 44" Maggie with Invader Trucks, Z Speed bearings and Road Rider Wheels. But I have A sector Nine Pintail With China Bone Red Bearings, B2 Tracker Trucks and 70 mm wheels and he allways overtakes my right at the bottom of the hill. HE has ABEC 3 and I have ABEC 5. Why the fuck is he going faster than me. Any help Appreciated.

Freak,
I saw in another forum that you have a 47" Hypercarve. Thats a great all-around board. Its fast, carves ok, slides great and is wide enuff to noseride and do other flatland stuff. Have fun!

This board is rad! All I can say is...When you're goin' close to 50 with a slight wind at your back, and a clean tuck, WATCH FOR RABBITS!!!! I nailed one goin' about 45-48 mph and it sucked, I did my best flight imitation and them got shown how 4o year old pavement can be like a cheese grater to leathers while I tumbeledfor a while. Who ever said hitting squirrels on a street luge was scary is a wussy girl.

Uhhh...I don't think that 2 rear trucks would work. think about the width for the board in the back vs the front. If you take some shortboard type skinny trucks and then put R2s on the front, it may work ok, but I am kind of skeptical abot the idea. Have fun and let me know how it works, worth a shot. Although when you try to carve you may have some trouble and it may ride funny. -RIDE WITH PRIDE- -- DOOBIE --

Forgot to add that you will not need riser pads. Randal trucks are taller than standard trucks. And I would either get Ninja bearing or Swiss bones.
