Terry Nails is the coolest dude I ever met. As a kid he was a big inspiration to me. He was my idol. Olson based his entire punk skate style approach on Terry Nails. Terry Nails was the first skate punk as far as I'm concerned. I thought he was dead. He rules this sight. Terry Nails and Blackheart are the Romulas and Reamus of Nor Cal skating. I sing praises to thier glory!

It's one of those contest with more focus on design than actual performance. http://www.gravityseries.org/about.shtml
Check out IHPVA if you want to see the slickest hpv on the planet. www.speed101.com
There was a 'gravity car' that showed up at IGSA SF this year. They gonna run it at Bernal Heights this Halloween.

Hy Terry,
I do have more however they are slides and I think i can trick my camera into scanning them. Perhaps the best pictures I took was several shot sequence of the Hester/ Bowden race in Akron OH in which Mark crashed head first 5 feet in front of me and narrowly missed henry. It was a really bad crash and after all that had appened at Signal Hill and during the long week at Akron I knew this was the end for skatecar in competition. It was not the crash itself but the insane peripheral stuff going on. But being that Bowden was a Freeformer rider and crashing again in one of those cars was just nuts. These have ee been shown but I believe I showed Henry when I returned White Lighting and he was blown way that it was photographed at all. I meant to make a copy for him but time slips away if you let it. Oh yea, I was showng him some photos I took of Whie Lightning, when I made runs in it and I had slipped in some staged crash photos of the WL going off road in a big way, and I acted like I was surprised they were in there. He said, hey what was that, go back!! We had a good laugh because he made me promise to take care of WL or fix whatever i broke. I recall be was pleased. Anyway, I see what I can do Terry. Cheers, Don

Get rid of the training wheels and you might have something there. I'll bet it's like all the other Volvos though, probably handles like $h!T in the snow...

The new Volvo Extreme Gravity Car. This is for straight line racing only, but I thought it was cool looking enough to post here. I would put up some pictures, but I'm to lazy to resize them.

John Hughes told me he lives in Hawaii. He should be able to get you in contact with him. Don, do you have any more shots of the '77 race? The whole thing is sort of a blur to me. I'd like to see some of the shots since I spent a good portion of the day in the hospital being ignored by doctors.
