The common spacers are not metric sized. What's commonly called "10mm" is actually 0.400", and what's known as "8mm" is actually 0.300".

.400" or 10mm wide for most coreless (and a good number of cored wheels too) wheels.
However, SOME wheels, use a spacer only 8mm wide, as that was popular for quadrollerskates awhile back, and quite a few 'skateboard' wheels were either reshaped quad wheels or used a bearing-seat core of that type and width.
Basically, if you use the 10mm spacers, and your wheel can shift in/out along the axle (with the wheel nut snug to the outer bearing), you might need to check the width between the bearings, and it'll likely be 8mm. Not to confuse things any, but Exate's big downhill (like the M-80) wheels use 11mm spacers.
Wheels that use 10mm spacers, by brandname; ABEC 11 (except Stingers),3DM/Seismic,OJ,Tunnel,Alligator and most Powell/Bones (Powell quad wheels, maybe not).
Wheels that use 8mm spacers; Hyper Strada (and Strada-based variants),Kryptonics vented-core wheels,Alum.-cored Alva Hardcores,Turner LaCosta/ABEC 11 Stingers, and maybe NeverSummer{?}.

Paul, you can put angled riders on any board. However, it might not actually benefit some board's performance. What angled risers do is modify the truck's steering, either quicker(putting the pivot closer to the deck), or slower(putting the kingpin/bushings closer to the deck). A good 20-15 years ago, when pipe/park decks started getting fairly large nose-kicks, some companies (notably Santa Cruz) actually sent 'stock' boards out with thin (3/16" high) wedges under the front truck to 'level out' that truck, as the concaves then had a 5* or so upturn just before the nose-kick. I've done similar set-ups on very short wheelbased Freestyle decks (13" wheelbase on a 29" deck) to stabilize them enough to still use loose trucks, but not oversteer doing manual-based tricks. I think the biggest issue for you might be ride height, or added weight, although Khiro's Rail-Kit risers can be set-up with small angles at low ride heights. If you use those for Ollies/Flips or impacted landings, I'd advise adding a thin rubber 'shock pad' to keep the deck from punching in or the trucks shifting from side-load or impact. Check out SkateKings website for those rail-riser kits (and cool Freestyle decks, too).

Sky hooks were a gimmick in the 70's to cath air, they caught on pretty big and then dissapeared! In the mid 80's a guy named Ray Flores(Bulldog Skates and The BOARD GALLERY) decided to re-invent the sky hook, calling them "SKATE AIRZ" and again they caught on!I the late 80's I went to my 1st trade show in Long Beach,CA. and I met ray. I was an up and coming snowboarder and wanted to use the hooks on a skateboard for cross training on trampolines, they worked great! Then I got sponsored by XT Wheels (for cross training purposes)and put the hooks on my dirt board because I kept sliding off while going downhill( I was the 1st to do this,1990!) I told Rick Wilson (XT) about these and he started buying them from Ray. Next thing you know, Rick stole the idea from Ray (made them hollow)and called them "XT HOOKS" and yet again they caught on big time!! Just a little "SKY HOOK" history for anyone interested! Where can I get a "lapper"? On 8/20/1999 Mario wrote in from (205.227.nnn.nnn) Remeber those things called lappers? They were like a little wedge that helped you get over a curb. Getting over curbs on a longboard isn't easy. They doesn't ollie well (duh) and its difficult to get your foot on the nose and tail at the same time (major split) to pop it over.
I remember three different kinds of lappers, one was a plastic triangle (yuck). Another was strip of nylon that attached to the truck mounting bolts and was called "The Bird" because it looked like someone giving the finger. The other one was from '79 I think and I forgot the name. It replaced the top washer on the kingpin and screwed into the deck. This is the one I want. Anybody seen anything like this still being made?
Get in touch with me @ flatblacksk8@hotmail.com Ive got a hook up on new lappers! similar to what you are looking for! GERRY D.

AC, not 'fly' but "sky" hooks... would be; curved plastic or metal brackets that help hold your feet to the board.

Have u also got issues with ur kneepads and have to melt plastic bits on the side? I am designing a new pair of kneepads especially for downhill freestyle sliding as a part of my 3D design degree and would be grateful for any thoughts and comments about the following.
Do you stick some sort of plastic e.g. chopping board on the side of ur pads? If so what plastic? And how often do u have to renew it? Would u rather make ur own adjustment on the pads or would you actually prefer to buy a slide specific kneepad? Have you tried the Sergio Yuppi pads? If so what u think of them? Would you prefer to have the side bits attached to the pad permanently or rather detachable? Would you spend a bit more on a pad, knowing it is made out of purely sustainable material?
Go on write down your thoughts, there might be a great kneepad out on the market soon! Cheers!

Home made slide gloves
1. plastic kitchen cutting board, cut out puck shapes 2. put nail in side, hold with pliers, melt one side 1/8" deep over stove, avoid getting burned or breathing fumes 3. press glove onto puck, avoid burning self in process, let cool a few hours
Add'l info: -Use leather work gloves with good back of hand and finger tip protection -Alternate attachment: Use super goop to attach velcro to both glove and puck (hook on puck, loop on glove), allows you to change pucks when worn out
