I can't understand why fools like you guys exist. Why don't you leave the
skateboarding to the kids. It is a toy, isn't it? Last time I checked it was.
So grow up and act your age, not your shoe size. Why would a grown man act this way, don't you have children ? Don't you have better things to do with your time? Is your life that boring, and uninteresting that this all you've got? Just wondering, can't really blame someone for using his brain, can you ?
Hope you don't crash and hurt yourselves. Grow up and get a life, gentlemen.

hey dave
glad the rest of your trip was a blast and you all made it home safe and sound
Paris was so much fun...........I noticed a while back that you posted the shot of the hobie demo team on the slalom page. The guy that is the third from the left is the father of a teacher that I work with. he had mentioned to me a while back that he was on the team in the late 60's. when I saw your post, i sent it to him ans sure enough it was him. His name is John Maxwell. I was wondering if you can tell me where that shot came from, he would love to see more if you have them. What a small and wonderful world. see you in the ditch

cheers

Set your latte down and start packing for the desert. It's on in New Mexico.

The course is guaranteed to be rowdier than the that stuff under the Eifel Tower. And the views are almost as sweet.

Leave the NASCAR podium shirts at home. You won't be needing them next weekend.

Bring me a box, or hell just a shirt XL,L, whatever you got, if you remember, I'll pay, or hook it up otherwise. Just drunk, curious, and thought about it.

Suspenders - the skateboard kind.
On 5/10/2005 GlenD wrote in from United States  (216.102.nnn.nnn)

Hey Hackett,

My memory is fuzzy these days. I had a set of Suspenders on an old 25" G&S Warptail in the 70's.
The only thing I remember about them was how bad my abs hurt the next day after practicing jumping with them the first time.
Do you remember if there was a way to release from the things. I sort of remember twisting my foot to get the velcro to release but I may just be remembering twisting my foot.
I do remember skating the banks at Muir and Miller school with them, but I don't remember ever falling.
Some people thought they were lame, after having used them, I had total respect for you and your brother skating pools and Skatercross with them. Remember, that was before plastic cup knee pads so sliding out a bail wasn't an option.

Glen

P.S. Did you and Zena ever get a keyboard?

Skin to win at JPL. Ko-SICK! takes Gold. John O. takes SILVER on the fastest JPL ever. Maysey third. This is how the west was won, with a handful(8 dudes) of diehaRDS, blasting 40 MPH down a 26 second course. tHANKS TO mIKE AND tIGER!!! It looks like slalom has officially gone back into it's hole out here. I feel like a groundhog playing russian roulette with the CIA.
