Hey Matt, Try this road. Bar X in Helotes Just west of San Antonio off of 1560. IT was baby butt smooth (rare for texas) had a real good drop with a couple of turns and a long shutdown and draft area in a quite neighborhod. IT was good for 55mph on luge with a hell slide in one turn. Several steep hills here mist most ofthe others needed paved 2 years ago..

I'd love to do a Val ditch session. I'm going out of town and won't be back until July 1st but I'd love to put together a ditch session. If we could get 5 or 6 to show with brooms and clippers we could clear the whole ditch in 45 min's.

Peirce may still be a bust. We went after a WLAC race at about 4:00pm on a Sunday. Three of us swept about 200 feet of the ditch and skated till the sun went down. I'd like to do another session where we clean the whole thing out so we can set up some real long carve lines.

my statement of pierce being a bust is based on memories from around '84. Things may have changed since then:)
I heard that pierce is going broke, maybe they can't afford the security staffto kick out skaters anymore.

That was one of my fav ditches to skate. You could session with others or brek out your broom and in 10 min have a spot for yourself.

Knapp Park is cool, Sepulveda Dam is usually a bust, I skated Peirce College for 3 hours and never saw anyone, others say it's a bust. There are lots of banks at lots of schools. There are some more ditches in the east valley.
I haven't scoped any, but I'd bet that there a ton of good early morning hills around Porter Ranch and Granada Hills.
AND NOT A SINGLE GOOD SKATEPARK.

Hey Dudes
I found all kinds of info on where to get low traffic
downhill slopes by looking at a topographical map .
check out your town or any town , see if your buds
are full of it on how steep that last run was. I found
a 2 mile run and from start to finish the city
bus runs every hour inbetween to take me back uphill
to reload. www.topozone.com I don't get any money
if you do or don't check it out , the site is free.
Word to your moms

Montreal / Tremblant

Hey Shmizer, thanks for the tip on Tremblant, I checked it out last weekend and it was really great! No traffic at all, quite steep hills to carve or slide, I was there all by myself.
I've also been to some places in downtown Montreal but the pavement is not very good.
BTW, what's the deal with those cemeteries??? Which one do you guys ride? I know there are two...

Mauricio

Hi again Will. I forgot another old spot we used to hit. It's a drainage ditch right out in front of Pierce College near Canoga. There's also a TON of little rideable ditches around. Just got to look for them. Some are even new /;~)henry

NJ
On 5/27/2002 Andy wrote in from (65.129.nnn.nnn)

Hi,

I was hoping to get some opinions.

I found what appears to be a really cool, 1.8 mile hill that snakes its way down the side of this ridge in the middle of the state. Lots of bends back and forth. There aren't really any cross street to worry about, and no driveways that I remember, but it is kind of a busy road. It is the only pass over this ridge, that I can see. My biggest concern is oncoming traffic in the other lane. My second biggest concern is traffic behind me. I guess these are pretty regular issues for street rolling.

So I planned on having to get up and try to hit it at sunrise on a Sunday morning to avoid cars.

Does anybody else have any ideas???

I kind of stick to off the beaten path hills, but that really limits your choices in NJ.

I was just wondering what other people do that live in congested areas.

Thanks. Andy
