Check out our Salem Oregon Soap Box Derby Hill from last Sunday's Season Opener BBQ. It's a lot mellower than the Salem-Winston SBD hill but has a great surface. I think it's very similar to the one in Ohio Kenny runs races on. Hopefully I'll make it out to the Dixie Cup #2 and not be sick this time. It was good meeting all of you in person. Actually, as we promised on Sunday night of the Dixie Cup, the Legacy Riders will get first crack at the sign-up for this year's Dixie Cup. The way it will work is we will contact everyone that attended the first race and let them know there will be a private sign up period for them to commit to come to the race. Once that period is up, then we will post it on the Contest Calendar with all remaining slots open to the rest of the slalom community. Due to daylight issues we still will be limiting the field for Saturday but we are working on what those numbers will look like. We are not looking to exclude other riders with this format but we are looking to reward those of you who took a chance on this new organization to come to our very first race.
