Wass up with the sexest talk at the board shop.Hey sweet heart this is what sells dont tell me you never watch or supported a TV programe that was sexest male or female. Lets talk about the real issue this store sells great gear and the girls are hot!!! and the guys no there boards "work it Red Nik." The long boards are the best in town and surfs up. This store kicks ass and the staff rocks. It looks like there will always be someone with nothing good to say, you should probably stick to Sportmart thats probably more your style. People are born cool, to bad you missed out. Lighten up Honey and have some fun with it. Its all about having fun. Let it all hang out Red Nik. Chet

Not a sexist shop? So what's up with the gratuitous comments about the sales girls not knowing crap, "but hey, they are hotties" on your site and from "Ryan"? (writing from what looks like the same address as you, Senor Billy, may I point out--hmm industry slagging is *rilly* bad, yah, sure) Right, and the naked chick on your skates page is really holding that deck (no wheels/trucks) across her ass because it's a functional thing to do and she's just getting some new moves down in the buff. hey I understand, I skate nekkid all the time. Clothing chafes too much, and it has that bad tendency of binding when you wipe out at 30+ clics. "The only pads *I* use are maxi, brah....."

Look I'm not saying that you all are bad dudes, or even personally sexist, it's just that's the way you represent yourselves, not even in a ha-ha ironic way, which I can deal with. And, in the web world, representations are everything. I don't even know if you or anyone else on this site gives a flying "F" about this. I just call 'em like I see 'em. Kudos to you anyways for supporting women skaters and shapers. Just makes your attitude all the more puzzling (and annoying) to me.

Sorry to all to keep on ranting like this, I will shut up now.

Hey we are not a sexist shop. We sold over 30 Longboards
to women. We carry a complete womens line called Lee Lee,
designed and sold by Kate Deblasio out of Venice Beach California. We actually have a sponsored Long Board Girl named Kylie on part time staff as she is a university student and will be full time come the spring thaw. The other girls in our store sell clothes very well and both are excellent surfers. They just do not longboard. So whatever, this is our gig

While I'm all for more longboard shops, especially in Canada, what's up with the blatant sexism? Yeah, representing one of the fastest-growing market segments in skating and lbing as know-nothing titracks is going to win you *lots* of female customers. Tired sexist bosheet is bad enough tucked away in places like at longskate.com or at the chronic site (at least it's in French), but you all are pretty much in your face about it in your posts and at your site. Maybe it would be a good idea if you hired some women *skaters* to work for you, eh? Who knows, they might actually be able to offer some useful info/service to customers.... Sorry to put some negative stuff out there and rag on Red Nik, who I'm sure are great bunch o' boys in a lovely store with a nice selection of wood, but the "I'm a macho skater who disrespects tha bitchez" crap in the longboarding industry sucks goats, in my opinion, just like it does in shortboarding. Why can't you just keep it about the boards, dudes? Sorry, Red Nik (Red Nik...Red Neck... how droll), you won't be getting my hard-earned canuck bucks soon. And speaking of kooks, tell me how the surf's at in Lake Louise, "brah".

p.s.: love your "testimonials"

Hey, Billy here from Red Nik Surf Co. Slagging in the industry is a bad thing. I apologize if any of my customers have come across in this fashion. To Chad Boulton I have never received a call from you nor has any of my staff. We run a Cothing, surf and longskate shop in Calgary and our staff is excellent and our motto is the customer is #1. I find it hard with a lineup of 17 different Longboard companies and a wicked selection of accessories that you found our store not to be to your liking. Anyone can go onto
web site www.rednik.com and check out what we carry or you can call me toll free at 1 877-277-7873and ask for me. If I do not know something I will sure find out for you. As far as Gravity Research is concerned, I really don't care if you sell boards out of your house, and I wish the best for you. Anyhow feel free to call us and chat. Also we are putting together a longskate team in Calgary. If anyone is interested please call or e mail bd2323@telusplanet.net
Tks and Merry Xmas
Billy D.

Hey Red Nik Rocks, obviously the bad press is by Kooks. Or probably written by the Gravity Research wanker himself. I have bought 3 boards a Tahoe 59,Bareback Bonga Perkins, and I just picked up a Mongoose ATB. Billy the owner and Nik know their stuff and have an awesome selection, they are great guys and their prices are the best in Canada!!. If you ever have a problem call Billy, even the shortboard shops like Freewheelin, Mission and Chicos all send customers to red Nik for long planks. They sold 75 longboards in Calgary last year and I do not know anyone who has had a bad experience. The Girls don't know squat there about longskate , but are all hotties and just sell clothes anyways. Gravity Research is run out of a basement or something as I have never seen it in Calgary. So Chad give the store a call as I told Billy about the bad press you gave him and he just laughed and said he nor Nik never talked to you. Call Red Nik at 1 877 277-7883

I had such a great experience with solidskate.com that I just had to post it here. I placed an order on Monday morning and received the shipment 24 hours later! While I live in So. Cal., in order for me to get the shipment that fast, solidskate had to have processed and shipped the order within a few hours of being placed. I'm totally impressed.

After searching the web for a dealer of quality long boards and accessories for my son and myself, I found a very down to earth shop called Research Gravity Sport. The owner, Darren, responded to my queries very promptly, and got the product to my door in record time. I would recommend that anyone looking for fast efficient service and excellent prices from professionals check out their website @ www.researchgravitysport.com .
