Entry Fee: now $25.00
Contest Info: This is a low key competitive event featuring dual head-to-head slalom racing with electronic timing (of some sort).

The course is expected to be approx. 40-45 cones with some offsets and some straight sections. No gates will be extreamly far off fall line, or exceptionally tight.

Asphalt quality is excellent. This is a 1 year old vacant parking lot. There is a slight grade to the lot which lends well to hybrid course, leaning more toward traditional slalom rather than GS.

We do not have explicit property owner permission, so we're keeping this low key (as low key as possible for a lot next to a hwy).

For directions see the Mapquest link above.

Practice will start at 8:30 AM.
This race is now a double header. In the morning we will run the slalom course at the Vans lot. In the afternoon we will move to a site not far away and run a single course GS. The GS course is 50+ gates. See me for directions on race day.

Fastest qualifying time seeds the racers for head to head racing. Cone penalty is .2 sec per cone with a max five cone DQ. If you want to hit a cone, be my guest. On this course, the cone penalty will outweigh the speed gained by criddling the cone. The course will be fastest when run clean, not by strategically taking out gates.

We'll use the O'Shei-Smith starting metod. A back block to define back most starting position with a bungie cord in front. "Unlimited" push to first gate. First gate will be about than 30' from back block.

Entry fee is $25 due to all the heavy hitters coming in from out of state. For 25 bones you can take down Chaput, Gilmour, O'Shei, Smith, and Arab and send them home cowering. Gary to provide race-day refreshments.
