Contest Info: Here we go again, it's the second race in beautiful Gloucester Massachusetts. The Perfect Storm II!!! Last year was 90+ degrees, this year will most certainly not be. For those riders that have never been to Magnolia Woods Sport Fields, the pavement is a 9+. We will run two races, a timed Hybrid, and a Boardercross.

By Boardercross I do not mean I'm building 20 foot bank ramps etc. This will simply be a hybrid from the top of the big hill, emptying into a 2 person tuck race around the corner with both racers having to squeeze between 2 cones, emptying around the corner into 2 more lanes of hybrid. plan on a hybrid setup for both courses, and keep in mind that the pavement is really smooth. The Hybrid portion of the race will be used as a qualifier for the BX. I don't believe that timers will be necessary for the BX, opening up course length options. We'll station someone down bottom to make the call. I think it will be obvious to all. All complaints will be dismissed as rubbish. I'll set the course and my time won't count. Cone penalties and DQ limits will be announced at the riders meeting. If we have time at the end of the day we'll have a mass slalom board downhill like we used to do. For those wishing to prolong their trip, the largest indoor skatepark on the east coast is 45 minutes from the race site and open until 9PM.

This is an Outlaw event; you will be running at your own discretion. There may be portable toilets at this site, but due to the late date there may not be. The gate at the bottom of the park should be shut at this time of year, so park down bottom. This makes for no cars at all. It has limited shade, no water or food available. I will however bring the bbq. Feel free to bring whatever fine meats you may need.

I can be reached at (978) 317-0165 if you have any questions or concerns. Please contact me regarding lodging should you choose to stay.
