Contest Info:	WHAT: The Fat City Racing Invitational WHEN: 13-14 October 2001 at 8 AM WHERE: Donner Lake, CA WHO: Entry to this contest is by invitation only. The invitation list is not intended to follow any guidelines other than the Fat City Team’s desire to have an interesting group of racers. A number of racers will be considered as alternates if invited racers decline attendance. DETAILS: The race will be a two-day event. On Saturday the 13th we will conduct a Giant Slalom race consisting of 50-80 cones, most set well off the fall line. The start and rules will be consistent with those of the GGP Slalom in the Park Contest. Each racer will make four runs and the best two posted times will be totaled for the final standing. On Sunday there will be a Dual Course Hybrid/Tight Slalom Race. The course will consist of approximately 50 cones set on or slightly off the fall line. The cone spacing may be as close as 5 feet on center. Each racer will be afforded 1 qualifying run in each lane and will be seeded into the final race based on his best time. All racers who post a qualifying time will race in the final race series (no cut). The final series will be a typical 2 run head to head elimination series. The details of the start have not yet been finalized but there will be starting ramps. ENTRY FEE: $50 with a targeted cash prize of $400 per race. Please note that in order to allow the invitation of alternates please RSVP ASAP and forward a check for your entry fee payable to “Don O’Shei” by September 15th. Helmets, knee and elbow pads and shoes will be mandatory. Any run taken without complete pads will be a DQ.
