Contest Info:	Back for the 8th year! Once again the Dovercourt Recreation Centre is the community partner and Title sponsor for this fun annual event! The Dovercourt Open also counts towards final rankings for the Canadian National Slalom Skateboard Championships. Day 1 features the Tight Slalom race on Roosevelt Avenue. Day 2 is Hybrid Slalom racing on a new hill at the corner of Denbury Ave and Dovercourt Ave. It's smooth, fast and sure to offer a new challenge for racers of all experience levels! Day 2 Time permitting we will reset the course and have a GS type event as a BONUS but it will not count towards the National Awards. Strictly for FUN! This year there will be a Skate Jam at Legacy Skate Park on July 3rd! Please join us to discuss further planning and logistics for the World Championships of Slalom Skateboarding 2011 in Ottawa, Aug.19-21! Full safety equipment is MANDATORY for anyone under the age of 18! We will be hosting local slalom clinics in Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City April through June to help bring new racers into the sport and for those with more experience to get tuned up for the Worlds! Entry fees are Open Division $50.00 in Advance Cut-off date for race pre-payment is June 20, 2011 after that $75.00 on race day no exceptions!!!
