The San Francisco Gravity Festival 2003

Friday-Sunday, May 2-4, 2003 in McLaren Park, San Francisco. 9AM to 5PM Friday, 8AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday
The roadway will be closed to traffic from 9AM to 3PM on Friday, 8AM to 5PM on Saturday and Sunday

IGSA National points will be awarded in Pro Street Luge, Pro Downhill Skateboard, Pro 3/4 Fairing Gravity Bike, Pro Stock Gravity Bike, Pro Classic Luge (Buttboard) and Pro Downhill Inline.The San Francisco Gravity Festival is an Extreme Downhill Race featuring the world’s top professional racers in downhill skateboard, buttboard, streetluge, gravity speed bike, and downhill inline skating. Racers reach speeds of over 60 miles per hour on the half mile course in beautiful McLaren Park, San Francisco.
Come join us for the season opener to the 2003 IGSA North American National Downhill Racing Series
The races will be held on a ½ mile closed course, originally scouted for the X-Games, located on John F. Shelley Drive in Mclaren Park, San Francisco, California. Practice is all day Friday with a short morning practice on Saturday. Qualifying begins at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 3rd, with racing on Sunday, May 4th, at 9:00 am. A non-sanctioned Excate Powerboard Exhibition Race, featuring several of the most powerful electric skateboards in the world will be held on a one mile loop down, then back up the course. Some of the nations top Freestyle and Slalom Skateboarders will be on hand to thrill the audience with their daredevil skills.
Speed Racing legend Ron Cook of Pure Guts will be on hand displaying his Guinness World Record Setting Motorcycle, which he crashed at 200mph and survived! (seen on TV worldwide) This exhibit will bring out other Pure Guts stories of everyday people pushing their limits to succeed against the odds.
