Cascade Slalom Series - Dual Hybrid
27 Registered Contestants.
Event Date and Time: Sunday, April 25, 2004  11:00
Event Duration:
Location: Ridgefield Washington, USA (near Portland Oregon)
Entry: Open
Helmets:
Organizer: Cascade Slalom Association
Map: Click here for online map
Entry Fee: FREE
Contest Info: First of several races in the Cascade Slalom series.

This is a good smooth hill for a 40 to 50-cone Hybrid slalom course. The City of Ridgefield has agreed to close the road for us free of charge, so this is NOT an outlaw event.

The organizers are the Grass Roots Slalom folks in Porland Oregon and Seattle Washington.

We run a "ladder bracket" system where all of the racers go on to the final head-to-head runs. No one is eliminated.

All racers (PRO, AM, Men, Women, Children) race in one large category.

Our sponsors for the series is Daddies Board Shop and Roe Racing. But we are holding all prizes to the end of the season.

- Hope to see you there.

UPDATE 4/20/04: *** TRAFFIC DETOUR AND DIRECTIONS ****

The normal directions are:

Interstate 5 to exit 14 (14 miles N of Portland Oregon).
E on Hwy 501 (11th Ave) 1/2 mile
S on NW 19th Ave 1/2 mile

We race on NW 19th Ave

HOWEVER, ON THE WEEKEND OF THE RACE I5 WILL BE CLOSED S OF THE RACE SITE, SO THERE IS A DETOUR:

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/I5SalmonCreektoi205/docs/04-15-04_WeekendCl
osure.htm

If you are coming from the North, no problem.

If you are coming from the South, you should take the detour to I205 and
then rejoin I5 and follow the directions.

An alternate path from the South is to get off of I5 N at Fourth Plain Rd
which is 501, follow it West, then N into Ridgefield. In Ridgefield, go E
on 501 towards I5 and turn S on NW19th Ave, which is where the race is.
