Friday, November 4th, 2005 Morland Frontage Road, Statesville, North Carolina (Road Beside Best Western where racers are staying)

DHB/FREAK BROTHERS RACING FRIDAY NIGHT OUTLAW BREAKOUT
Single Lane Hybrid/GS
Open Jam Format
8:00 pm To 9:00 pm Practice
9:00 pm until we get tired or everyone gets 3 runs.
Fastest time counts. Cone Penalty To be determined race day.

This is a fun warm up race with limited small prizes to be awarded on Saturday Night at the Awards Dinner/Party.

FREE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SKATE!

The Freak Brothers from Chicago will be hosting on behalf of the DHB Crew an Outlaw Race Friday night on the frontage road adjacent to the Best Western (hotel where racers will be staying). Riders will be able to walk or ride their boards less than 300 yards to the bottom of the course. (PLEASE LIMIT THE NUMBER OF CARS ON HILL).
The course will be a 57 cone mixed hybrid and GS with cones from 6 feet to 20 plus. Unlimited push start (similar to Athens GS). Hill is a winding S turn that should see speeds 25 to 30 mph max. Street lights provide for more than adequate visibility. Run out is rougher pavement but does not require foot breaking.
After settling into the hotel get your boards and your gear and ride down the street or walk and have some FUN!
(This is the course the DHB practice on referred to as Camping World).

Note: This event does NOT count in the Overall Championship.

Saturday, November 5th, 2005 Downtown Historic Statesville Pumpkin Fest
Statesville, North Carolina

PUMPCONE FEST
Dual Lane Hybrid/Tight Slalom
A,B,C,D Classes
(Practice times and race start to be determined)

Dual lane hybrid/tight with start ramps on a downtown city street that has a 90 degree turn at the bottom both left and right for the run out. Finish line will be well in advance of the turn to allow for either foot breaking (not required) or speed scrub off. Left lane will turn left, Right lane will turn right. The course will start with some fairly tight cones on a small false flat and will quickly accelerate through a series of offsets and stepovers as this street drops quickly. Pavement surface is excellent.
Helmets required.
(Stay tuned for pictures to be posted soon)

All riders will qualify on Saturday morning (fastest time of 2 runs) with brackets being determined in groups of 16 (A), next 16 (B), next 16 (C), and 8 (D). Due to time constraints and daylight reduction with the elimination of daylight saving times the field must be limited to a max of 56 riders. Qualifying times will also be used for bracket seeding.

Sunday, November 6th, 2005 Hobby Park Soap Box Derby Hill*
Winston-Salem, North Carolina

HOBBY PARK HOEDOWN
Single Lane GS
Open Jam Format
Self Bracket Selection
Advanced and Beginner/Intermediate

Advanced Bracket
Single lane GS on a screaming fast soap box derby hill that will have approximately 30 cones spaced over 600 feet of tarmac. Placement based on single fastest time.

Beginner/Intermediate Bracket
Same course as Advanced GS with the elimination of top section of hill (approximately 5 to 7 cones). Limited push start marked on hill. Open jam format will allow each participant a minimum of 3 runs (4 if time allows). Placement based on single fastest time.

This hill is exceptionally fast but short and the surface is good.
Full safety equipment including helmet, kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards or slide gloves will be REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS. (This is a condition required by the Winston-Salem Parks and Rec Department). Any rider being observed by the race organizers not wearing proper gear or appearing to not have the needed skills to skate this hill safely will be disqualified from the race. This soap box derby hill requires that the rider be experienced at riding at high speeds.

(Advanced top of course indicated by red cones with Beginner/Intermediate course marked with white cones)

Racing To Start at 10:00 am With Advanced Bracket
