the wind has calmed down tremendously since i posted the weather warning. it looks like we'll be racing after all!
join us in the park at ardmore st. and sheridan ave.
WEATHER WARNING!
we are experiencing winds gusting 15 to 25 mph, which could pose to be a major problem!
if conditions persist we may have to cancel the race...
6 mile pump race on the path along lake shore drive on chicago's scenic lake front.
the purpose for this race is to promote the cardio aspect of skateboarding and raise money and bring attention to return the simparch free basin back to chicago for the public to enjoy once again.
helmets mandatory
this event coincides with the 24th anual chicago blues fest!
$500 first prize
$300 second
$200 third
cash rewards can be substituted with products or to compensate for expenses depending on preference.
this will be the main event with other minor events preceding and then following it during most weekends. a regularly scheduled skateboarding clinic will be held at the south end of oak st. beach (as well as other locations tba) in order to assist with rider development from beginners to advanced.
