The Annie Ross open is a charity for homeless women & children. the small entry fee for the race will be donated to this.

We'll be skating -With Helmets- from Mt.Tabor through a S.E. Portland Route to Sellwood Park on the springwater corridor.

We meet Sunday, May 10th @ 10:30am. the race will begin at eleven. please try to be no later than 10:45 for a final headcount & registration.

This race is approximately 8.5 miles long, which translates to roughly 30-50 minutes of strenuous skating. With Helmets.

You think you've got what it takes to take on reigning champion robin mcguirk and his record time of 26 Minutes, 18 Seconds?? so show us what you've got!!

I suggest saving the map pictures and highlighting the route and printing it out, but I will also bring some copies to the race.

Local Skate companies and supporters will be sponsoring this race as they have in years past, and I'll be back with updates on who exactly those sponsors will be.

Our Sponsors!

A huge thanks goes out to all of our supporters this year, as with every year.

First, Our Sponsors:
Eastside Longboards
Daddies Boardshop, LLC.
Longboard Larry,
Eskimo Longboards
Northwest Shirts
Skate Legion
The Board Room - Now Rip City
& Bad Monkey

I also want to thank our volunteers,
SaTina Pasillas,
Amber Best,
and Mrs. Maxwell-Muir with Skate Legion
because without them, we would have no standings, no times, and not much of a raffle, but most importantly, I couldn't keep this race functioning each year at all without their help. THANK YOU!

And of course, a huge thanks goes out to every participant, and every family member and friend who supports our riders! With your help, We managed to raise 532 dollars for the Annie Ross House this year. Thank you all so much for supporting this event every year, and for you guys, I'll be organizing this event (and who knows, maybe twice a year down the road??) for years to come.

A very special thank you needs to be sent to our reigning champion Robin McGuirk.
I, Wil Best, moved up to Seattle this year, and in settling into my home, had no time for a lot of the pre race organization such as obtaining donations from sponsors and promoting the race. Robskey stepped up and took care of a lot of that for me this year, and i couldn't be more grateful.

One final note: if there are any mistakes in spelling of names, of if you feel that i have incorrectly placed or timed you, i apologize. you can contact me at Wilthebest@comcast.net with any questions about future races, past races, or editing of this years page info.

(P.S. : Where's Neebs young? did he finish? I've got him nowhere on my standings.)

Oh, also! I promise our race won't be on mothers day next year. It's just difficult timing the race not to conflict with other events such as danger bay at this time of year. expect a possible june race next year so as not to have this issue.
