So Cal Outlaw Weekend ! 17 Registered Contestants. Event Date and Time: Saturday, October 16, 2010  10:00 Event Duration: 2 days Location: San Diego CA Entry: Open Helmets: Mandatory Organizer: François Brun Map: Entry Fee: $30 Contest Info: Two days of outlaw racing in San Diego California. October 16 - 17, 2010 Saturday - Loreta GS single lane 11:00 a.m. signin & warmup - timed runs start soon after. Push start 3 or 4 runs depending on duration. Saturday night Slalom symposium at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Stay night at Motel 6 Carlsbad - cheap hotel and walking distance from Pizza Port. Sunday Pump Station, GS and Hybrid Overall combined best times over both days for placing. Helmets required no whiners ....Oi! Sign up below to get details (venue info especially) via email. Photogs or other non-racers who want to come included. Directions will not be posted online -- it's an outlaw. Good stuff! Race Wrap Up Report: Saturday's event started off with gray skies & drizzle in the morning but things dried up and it was on! Killer fast and gnar racing on the steep Loretta hill! Richy Carrasco was leading the pack consistently fastest through all four runs to claim the number one spot. Brent Kosick and Adam Schwippert (all the way from Vermont) battled it out for 2nd place with Brent taking it by only 100th of a second. Ryan Ricker wasn't far behind in 4th. Stoked to see some relative newcomers to the slalom racing scene - Peter Kell and Key Dougherty - charging and having fun. Props to our starter Chris Yandall and Brickner's pal Teak for running the timer & keeping score and of course to Lynn Kramer for providing the timing system and setup. Too bad the rain came back on Sunday -- and this time came to stay -- forcing us to call the Pump Station event and retire to Chili's for some dry indoor fun. The positive vibe from our epic day at Loretta (and later Pizza Port) carried over even through the rain cancelation. Cheers to our friends who showed up to support like Khiro Bob & Lou Ann, Dave Hackett, Di Dootson, Tiger Williams and John Hughes even made it to the Slalom Symposium Saturday night!
