Practice starting at 9:AM racers meeting at 10:30, racing right after.
Slalom cross will be done on a draw from the hat method using winners and losers brackets, loose twice your out. This will be done on a course as large and wide open the hill will allow so there will be a 3 cone DQ limit. The slalom cross will be using Ricky Byrd style start ramps.

Giant Slalom will be single lane jam style A Class goes off the big ramp and B goes off the small ramp. Cone penalty .30 per cone 10 cone DQ limit, all racers get two runs.
After the Giant slalom (time permitting) we will be for Bragging rights only downhill. Please note . . . this is open to you ONLY if you have skated the Giant slalom; more on the format at a later date.
The downhill will be run duel lane speed Trap fastest speed takes home an engraved set of surfRodz speed trucks.

Sunday Hybrid slalom and tight slalom again in Hockley at the soap box derby hill http://mapq.st/ibqdYN Practice at 9:30AM racers meeting at 11:AM racing right afterwards.
Hybrid slalom will be 1st qualifying and then head to head racing. Cone penalty .10 per cone 10 cone DQ limit; we will be using Ricky Byrd style start ramps and Trakmate timer with false start detection. If you false start that will be doubled and added to you time.
Tight slalom will be run single lane jam style, it will more than likely do to the speed of the hill ( 25 to 35MPH) that cone spacing will be bigger than traditional tight slalom and there will be an A Start and a B start both starts ( B being farther down the hill) will be with Ricky Byrd Style ramps.

A couple of miscellaneous notes; 1st all racers will get a chance to race even, there will be NO cut off for any event, also no racer has to go down the start ramp. We will have a Masters, Woman’s and Junior class ( for juniors the age is 16 and under) providing we have at least 4 entrants per field. All racers will be required to wear safety gear, consisting of a helmet elbow and knee pads minimum and to sign this waiver

Prize money for this race will be determined after expenses are paid. We will be more than happy to open our books to anyone who like to see them.

The masters class will be eliminated as a class for the Gaint and the Tight slalom only. The reason for doing this is because not all Masters will want to A, go off the big ramp for the GS or B start at the top of the hill for the tight, this will make it so that you can race were feel comfortable. It is my understanding that masters will still get points this wat too. I am working with the ISSA to get clification and will let you know. Note there will still be a masters for the Hybrid slalom.
Entry fee includes all five races Lunch only on the hill both Saturday & Sunday and awards ceremony on Sunday.
This race has been given Main Status By the ISSA
7 time world champ Henry Hester will be our announcer this year.

You can Pay Pal your entry fee to

Please note in the comments that your payment is for the Sizzler and you name, we will also be taking entry fees on Saturday on the hill and will have extra waivers.
