ABOUT THE RACING HILL:

The soapbox hill is STEEP and FAST with good length, sloping off and transitioning to a flat zone before rising up again into an uphill run off. Foot braking is not necessary. The track is 19 feet wide, good for dual-lane tight and hybrid. Giant is run as a single lane. The surface of this amazing hill was re-paved in 2020 so it is a racer's dream!

PUBLIC/SPECTATORS:

The public is welcome to come out and spend the day watching some great racing throughout the weekend. It's free for spectators - just BYO - day camping supplies, food/drink as the venue is a county park and there are no services or stores within walking distance. There are some bleachers for seating but plenty of grassy areas on the side of the racing hill separated by a guardrail. As a county park, alcohol is prohibited.

AMENITIES AT PARK VENUE:
Free parking available on site. Right next to the hill is a large covered shelter with charcoal grills and probably enough tables to seat 100 people. This is where the award ceremony will be held. Bathrooms with flush toilets are located at the back of the shelter. We will try to have a food truck available on site if possible otherwise, no store or snack bar in the park.

LODGING INFO:
Many hotels can be found in the Hanes Mall area which is about a 15 minute drive to the race venue park. Also Airbnb.com can be a good source for group house rentals.

AIRPORTS & AIRLINES:
