I got to skate my new Pappas today. Wow, incredible deck! It turns so easily. Rick loves his new CBark too. From left to right - mine, Rick's, Dave's, mine.

Most clear grip is like tracing paper. And about as much use.
Best clear I know is used by Gravity on their Ed Economy decks, and Pocket Pistols one which is less grippy, but still good. Try Madrid for that?

Just arrived today. The Pappas is mine and the CBark is a friend's. Look at the top of the Pappas! Does anyone know of a clear grip tape that's any good? Usually clear grip isn't that good. The CBark is hot looking too. I'll set up the Pappas and shoot more photos.

Adam...... nothing lazy about the way you run this site! You do a great job! No worries. It was only an old skate film from the 1970's featuring skateboard pizza delivery girls. It's pretty funny! If anyone wants to take a look:

Don, Cat's recent post worked fine in the web browsers I usually use: Google Chrome and Firefox. It wasn't until I tried viewing it in IE8 that I saw that it was hosing up the rest of the forum, and that's when I got my lazy ass around to removing the errant post. I'll be emailing you your moderator instruction manual again that apparently was lost somewhere along the way. ;)

Norski, email Cat for ordering info for a Pappas. Donald is making the boards right now - so it's a good time to place an order.

Norski, We were so close on our first run, it was a draw. It could have gone either way if you hadn't gotten a DQ on the second run. I was bummed, I wanted us to both have clean runs. I enjoyed meeting you and skating with you. Thanks for letting me use your wheels.

I tried George's board at World's in Hood RIver and I liked that the tail was wider at the heel and at the toe. It appears to fit my foot stance just right. I can have my foot how I like it without hanging over the edge of the board. I've already ordered one for myself.

Pappas Model Works!

Get them while they are HOT! First run on a Pappas Pavel model I win the 2009 US National Championships GS by a margin of one steak dinner, complete with dessert. I rode a Pavel in the Hybrid to 1st place, 4th in Tight, and 1st Overall. The NEXT time I even touch a Pappas Model, I put 6 seconds on the field (I'm AM by the way) on my first run at the Worlds in the GS and go on to win. That 1st run time put me in 2nd for the pros and .8 ahead of George Pappas who lent me the board!! George switched wheels and beat me with his 2nd run, but I would've placed 3rd in the pros - THIS IS MY SECOND TIME ON THE BOARD!! I rode the board in tight and hybrid and posted the fastest single run time of the day in AMs in Tight and finished the weekend 2nd Overall. I'm trying to stress the almost instant success, that came from the instant confidence, which came from a total connection I felt to the concaves and cutouts of this board from the moment I stepped onto it. YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY IT!! One wrap of your back foot toes around the edge and you will hear start beeps ringing in your ears! It's so ON!!
