Zion rules (as do all the kids who raced this weekend)
he walks up to me sunday, as I am preparing to get on the ramp . looks at the Lion tat on my leg and says "awesome Lion Tat, did you know I am a rasta?" priceless... he has the fire, I am stoked to know he has GOG support...
and great to meet him. With him and Maylem I think the Jrs in a year or 2 will be owned by TSR

thanks again sooo much pavel, GOG and dominic. i just set-up zion's new board for him and gave him a good lecture that "this is not a regular skateboard"....i think he's just starting to realize how nice it is, well mainly cus i keep asking if i can ride his board..haha
and yea Dom, zion has been ripping the pools and half pipes for years, he can do inverts, front and backside airs, grind pool coping on 10ft+ bowls and early grab off stuff much bigger than he is! we hooked him up with a slalom board 1 MONTH AGO. he had never even heard of slalom racing until a month before the nationals. he just needs to put on some weight and he'll be winning races in no time!
thanks again G.O.G., its so rewarding to see one of our students get hooked up with such a sweet deal!

He was a cool little kid---- the whole family was cool!
Zion WILL be a major star.

That kids pure skater.....on the GS run, he took a bail midway down the course, into the ravine and toward those big boulders. The kid got up, picked up his board and shook it off ....no problem......
Thursday night i was talking to him and we were looking at the TV reporter....He said he was on TV last week and i asked him why.. "It was at the Santa Fe music festival and i was chanting on stage with a friend of mine to get backstage passes to see WuTang and Parliament" (no sh1t) Better yet...I asked him if it was Clinton and the REAL Parliament.. he says: "Oh yeah ...it was P-Funk"
What 9 year old kids would know that?...............entirely too cool.

I'm happy to be back in my little gang land. Althought I wish I could have stayed for a little bit longer in the wonderful state called colorado... During the nationals a very young kid (9) from New Mexico caught my attention. He skated the pool, the giant slalom and pretty much everything else. I heard he is actually skating vert and allready making areals. He just blew my mind while he skated with style and no fear. To fuel his stoke, I made him a special gift since his parents didn't seem to be able to afford something better. I proudly present you our youngest rider, and my favourite skater of all time on our Pavel GOG board. Keep it up!

Martin,
I'm not sure if your post meant that you don't like my tattoo. I can't imagine that's what it meant.
Anyway, just to let you know.... my mother had many pictures from the 1970's when she visited Switzerland. I was always in awe at how beautiful your country is.
You are very lucky.
All my best, Cat
