Phil- Just to Race $30.
As for spectators, yeah. The road is a basic two lane road that has a few turn-outs to watch from, three to be exact, not counting the two long pull-offs and a turnaround past the finish line and the turn out at the start.
I'd like to have anybody that wants to watch please email me or Mercardo. So that way we can organize any spectators when we meet in the morning at 6am.
I've had a few people ask about watching and BBQ and I started a list. If you want on the list, email either one of us.
As for BBQ. I will address that after I confer with Mercardo.

A vid of road:
Campsite is the last 4 sites at the end according to the map below. Coming from the 180 east you will pass a place on the right called 'Peirces Park'( a biker camp ) then you'll cross the Kings River. Piedra Rd will be the first road to the left. Follow it down to Trimmer Springs, make right. Go down a few till you see the sign for Pine Flat Damn, make the right and the campground is the first exit to the right. As soon as you come in make a left, go down to the first left, make it. Go all the way to the end. I'm setting up camp about 1pm.
River is FFFff.. cold and fast. We are a mile from the damn and they are letting it out from the bottom gates. There will be no floating from our camp, there are a couple places(one being behind our sites)we can get in and cool off. But if you get swept in, it could be over. If you want to float bring your own device and I can hook up a killer float after free rides. Down a few miles where the river just cruz's along, Pass a few sandy beaches with parties going on, all types of people floating. End up by a kick ass rope swing. It will be approx 95*+ that weekend. If no one's ever floated on the river in inner tubes, drinking beer, etc.. Things get a little wild, I dont think I have to spell it out. Inner tubes can be picked up cheap at any truck stop or a nice one w/ cup holders for about 20 bucks at Big 5. I'm only saying this cause if I go buy a crap load of tubes and no one floats, my wifes gonna kick my ass. Its a little tricky with the logistics of vehicles but if everyones down,it will happen.
Free Rides are gonna be fast and crazy. There are basic runs as well but for the most part, gnar! I skated a 3 mile section of road above Miramonte with constant turns and hair-pins(Pics of road posted on speedboarding forum),road was a little rough, slid every corner, was scared s#@!eless. But we going to rip that run as well. Wheels need to be grippy for it.
If I'm forgetting something, please feel free to address it.
Cant wait for this weekend, so stoked!!!

Here is a complete list of directions to get to Cal Outlaw #8 race and camping. Race is located 30 mins. East of Fresno, CA. off the 180 that leads to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. For those coming from the south on north-bound 99 or from the North on S.B. 99, Take Jensen Ave. East. Till you come into Sanger, CA. The road ends at Academy Ave., Turn left on Academy. Take Academy out to Kings Canyon Rd. (180) Turn right and take K.C. east, past the river to Piedra Rd. Turn Left. Follow Piedra Rd. all the way until you get to the end at Trimmer Springs RD. Turn right on Trimmer Springs Rd. Follow till you get to the first right, it’ll have a sign that says ‘Pine Flat Damn’ and that is Pine Flat Rd.. Turn right and you will come to the Choimnumni Campground on the right side of the road. Turn in; don’t worry about the front Station, no one works there. Go in and turn to the first left. Go all the way to the back till the road splits, take the left side and go till it ends. This will be the camp spot and meeting spot before the race. If you’re coming from the 41, take Jensen Ave. East and follow above instructions.
Camping is going to be at Choinumni Campground just below Pine Flat Lake, on the Kings River. This campground is big and we will have pretty much any place we like. This part of the world doesn’t get that many visitors. The more popular places to visit here are obviously Yosemite, then Bass Lake, Shaver Lake, Millerton Lake and the two Casinos’. Pine Flat Lake is slow and lazy, just fishing and lying about seems to be the norm.
Course: This road is absolutely awesome. The entire road is 2.75 miles long, but is separated by a cattle grate. It was repaved last summer and is in perfect condition. We will be racing the lower section, Rd-B., which is a mile long and fast. Mid to high 40’s. In a good tuck, hit all lines at corners, and no air braking down the stretch, one could hit 50 easy. The top section (Rd-A, 1.75 mile) is real techy and fast. No messing around with this one. Foot-braking, Pendy’s and Pre-drift’s will be the standard to slow your roll at the many tight turns, the hair-pin and at the end with the cattle grate. No run out. This road is Bad-ASS!!! It will be Free Ride #1. For those that come ride it, you won’t forget it. You’ll be back.
RD B (race)
RD A
Other free ride locations will be posted up soon. Stay tuned
Any Questions, dont hesitate to call or email me. Thanks Sean 559-790-5059 agcscreens@comcast.net
