Thanks Hugh!
Happy New Year to everyone. I think Lora is cooking up a nice post for the slalom page later tonight. Keep your eyes peeled, you know how good she is.

I don't see a link to this site on your GRS page Hugh. I'm currently working on a slalom primer and a page about buying gear. There will be lots of info on it [Brian plans on making it an E-Zine]. And links to all the pertinent sites [IE: GRS and NCDSA].
Help a guy out buddy.
Thanks
B
PS: Glad your wife liked the umbrella stand. Lora is tickled about the trade.

Several updates and new pages have been added... including a "project page" so that we can track what needs to be done, and there is plenty! HR

Been raining here, did have opportunity to give some of the the boys their boards and then we sat in front of the PC and I showed them as many video clips as I could find. They were excited and can't wait to set a course. One more guy wants in and they like the idea of being part of a "team".

I've just had the opportunity participated in a cross-country experience that involved the members of GRS:
A couple of days ago I received an email inquiring about my preferences in a slalom setup. After a couple of emails I found out this young lady is just starting out and lives on the east coast. Well, with the network already in place, she will be able to contact someone in her state who in turn can put her in touch with someone in her general vicinity.
This is what it's all about, it's happening, and we're almost there!

As Hugh noted, we need a banner which will appear both on this forum as well as on the Events forum. We're hoping someone in the GRS world could step up to building a nice banner.

In hopes of some things that HG has in the works...
I am hoping that one of you grapics guys can design a very nice banner... It would need to say Grass Roots Slalom on it somewhere, and somehow capture the essences of our association... who's up to the task? If more than one turns out real good, I have no problem with putting it to a vote for all associated chapters... HR

Nice idea Tway, I have to admit that the thought did occur to me but only for a moment. Then I realized that we already fill up the whole page and it kinda kills the need. Now putting it up somewhere like the Speedboarding forum would be kinda funny but then we don't need the negative vibe. Maybe the Guess Book or the Bullet in Board might be more fertile ground.

Hey Lloyd, since steel wheel gave up on using g.r.a.s.s., does that mean we can now use grass all we want now? woo-hoo! Time to go carve it up at the skunk bowl.

Nah Dave, it's just me... ...sorry I'm so slow. Now that I have a window office in the Huge Corporation, I find the secretary's too distractin'. Next batch o' schtuff goes out today (uhm, er, make that tomorrow)!

Brian Richardson-has a nice ring to it, but I like speedball!
I didn't get a cd, but I'm sure it's great-just don't have the subwoofer capable of fully extracting the SIGNIFICANCE, I'm sure. . .
Happy holidays, my KHRT brethren and sisterin'.

SS OF S - Yes, I think I speak for everyone that has a copy and your mix CD is bangin. Keep it up! As a former Dj I have to be a critic. The thing is SEAMLESS. The "jazziness" of it would make a great soundtrack to another slalom vid. IMHO.
