Biggest centered-hub wheel?

I'm making a flipperdeck-to-DH conversion, low CG board for transportation and I'm thinking big wheels. Does anyone know what the biggest centered-hub skateboard wheels are? I would try some huge scooter wheels but I don't think they have a tread that's wide enough to meet the edge of this deck.
I might try the Exkate Easy Rider that can be found as a center-set, I just don't know where to get them yet. Does anyone know who sells them?

On real bad roads I actually like the Power Paws better than the S/S.
I like the S/S for long steep stuff where you don't have to work to keep speed.

SimF,
The large hub of the aluminators really take them out of the "smooth on the rough stuff" catagory. The kevlar core PP's do well as do the classic kryptos... HR

Ninja has the first wheels to use 688 (minimizer) size bearings, they're small board wheels though,,,it would be interesting to have longboard wheels like that(aluminators):):):)

Today my pathetic currency(the rand) bought me set of these things. 52mm and about 90000a. Hey at like 1 and a quarter dollars(10 south AFrican rand) who could resist. Anyways I took them out for a slide and when I tested their traction they felt perfect for sliding. Anyways I found a nice steep hill and pushed off down it. I went into a slide and slid...and slid ....and slid. man these wheels were perfect for sliding. But allas when I checked their ware out I found that they had gone completly sqaure and had worn through to their hubs I did 2 more slides(with a great knocking sound) and they wouldn't roll any more so I had to walk home. But those were three sick slides worth every cent(literaly)

While i can read most of what you guys said, I can't write my responce in French at this point (still learning, excuse moi). Anyway, i have a pair i bought in NH a few years ago. Great wheel and super fun to ride in rough conditions, wet, sand, etc. I live in PDX, so we don't always get the best weather. Fun wheel that is pretty soft and smooth. Do you guys have any ideas were one might be able to find them on the web? I see somebody might, but didn't have an address? Anyway, I have em on a 50" tanker i made, and they are a super cruising wheel.

I think Mikez's idea sounds great. Fun, cheap way to work out our sliding "jones". As for the noise....It's better than me making a loud, annoying, highpitched scream while donating a pound of flesh.

Getting hacked off at wearing through your wheels doing slides and just don't have the money to carry on with your sliding habits. That kid on the short board accross the road just got new wheels. Go Buy his old wheels. I got the best pair of sliding wheels I have ever had all for the price of....... 30 rand (about 5 dollars!!!) Although they went completely square in about a day I had the most fun I have ever had on short board wheels. Trust me I am never gonna run out of wheels to slide on. Nearly every shortboarder has an old set of wheels.

PCB, You will love the PowerPaws in rough pavement too! But they do wear down much faster, so flip them around inside out (centered bearings) to even out the wear and totally prevent any coning. I wish more wheels where available with centered bearings.

PP Centereds are awesome! Currently, all my decks are 9.5" wide and these wheels fit them just right when used with 10" trucks and a few extra washers. I can also fit wider wheels like Bones Bombers but I do like these power paws alot. They're just as fast as the BBs in the pool but they stick much better. I can't wait to try them on rough pavement.

Spent a little more time on the centered hubbed 65mm 78a power paws. These are a pretty fast little wheel that grips well (they do slide if you push them)
I'm not much of a cone rider, but I think these would do well for the right guy... worth trying... HR

I have an old set of Krypto pro iii's. These are probably the worst wheels i have ever had for anything. They have a core with little holes in it, which is too big to fit on the bearings, and i could never find a spacer to fit the wheels. They are hard as rock, but when i slide they screech, jerk bump and grind. Maybe theyre meant for ramp riding, but they didn't feel too cool on ramps either. But hey, i was never any sort of ramp rider. To make everything worse, My dad bought them when I was 10, and the salesman sold him the last in stock. This means 2 white ones, a green one and a pink one. Not only do they look dorky, but they all wear differently.

Fishroller, the Krypto Lite is different wheel. It's a 62mm, 95A,with not much rebound(odd for a Kryptonic)and has a much rounder profile, and a narrower tread area. The Pro series came in 3 durometers,90A,92.5A,and 97A,sized at 60mmx42mm,with three core profiles;Pro 1,no core, not available in 90A;Pro 2,small core(as used in the Classic today)and available in all 3 hardnesses(90A being rare);and the Pro 3,which featured the large vented core(now in Krypto's D.H. wheel),a lathed-to-round outer, not available in 90A,and way fast in 97A(light too, much lighter than the Krypto Lite). While the Pro 3 was very sweet, the best wheel they made was the dual compound Reactor, which layered a small core, wrapped by high-rebound 80A as an 'inner-tube',which was encased in the 95A 'tire',all of which made for one Fast Wheel.

I have a set that sounds similar to those (from the same era). Although they have "Krypto Lite" engraved on the side. Are these the same things? Just curious. They were on a board I pulled out of the crawlspace. I bought it just before I stopped skating for about ten years, so the whole setup is in pretty good condition. (Mini Caballero with Indys and these wheels). Or does anyone have any info on these wheels if they aren't the same? Durometer (they feel fairly hard)? etc?
