Hi Lexx,
if you want modern day kick nose/ concave Freestyle boad; check out my decks. I sell directly from Germany, so there should be no major shipping problems and huge costs involved. You will find some fotos at: www.yoyoskates.com.
If you are interested, just drop me a few lines.... Later,

Eastcoast Skates.com has some freestyle decks. http://www.eastcoastskates.com They have 2 of their own and the Sherwood 2002 Pro. I believe they ship to the UK, but it may cost you a few extra pounds. It may be worth it since there isn't really anywhere else. Reverse Freestyle also sells freestyle decks. http://www.reversefreestyle.com YoYo also sells freestyle decks. http://www.yoyoskates.com There was a pretty good review of one at Bob's Trick Tips. http://www.bobstricktips.com/ Hope this helps. I really want the new capital USA pro model! Sadly I cant find any where that sells freestyle decks. I live in shouth wales UK, and all they sell is street boards.. I really like the bi-directional shape, flat rails and shorter wheel base.. I just need to find some where that sells them...

you need to try out different boards and find out which one or ones feel right to you, noone is going to be able to tell you which one is right for you because they are not you,I think the new street boards work just fine for freestyle,I had two of the OSS freestyle boards before they were the tommy harward pro model,But now i find it easier to skate the modern shaped boards(popsickle sticks).there are some tricks i can only do on a single kick .if the skaters around you cant appreciate freestyle then dont skate with them, forget them, why should they care if your wasting your time its YOUR time

thanks Chris S for the help! both those decks look really nice. i'm going to try ro get both of them so i'll have two. i hope i do get them because i'm kind of tired of riding regular street decks and people always think i suck or something because there's no grind marks on them! then they think i'm some weird-o because all i do is skate around this parking lot doing wheelies and stuff, they say i'm wasting my time. i always have scratches on the bottom of my board because i like to do curb-crawls. i also talk to factory13 and they said they could custom make me one. they also make freestyle boards, you guys sould check them out.

I purchased the 2002 Sherwood Pro deck awhile back, and I like it. It took me quite some time to find a place that sells freestyle decks, and after the wait, I wasn't disappointed. I just got into freestyle, so I don't really have any means of comparison, but I would say it is a good deck. I like the bi-directional design, and the graphic is pretty cool. When I get into more advanced stuff, the bi-directional design might help me out when trying to pull of some different types of tricks. After letting some of my friends ride around on this board, I have received a lot of good comments. A lot of people like the size and how this makes it easier to do flip tricks. Some more comments related to the bi-directional design and how they liked it.

I'm intrigued by the new Capitol decks too. Kind of wish they had a better picture.

Jeremy,
Check out these ebay auctions

I'd be real surprised if either one went very high, and both are new old stock. Used stuff should go even lower. I'm not saying that either of these is the right board for you, but they're the type of thing that doesn't bring a lot of money.

Jeremy,
Here's a few thoughts. Make your own. A lot of the boards from back in the day were made out of oak or other hardwoods, with a wedge glued on to the tail for a kicktail. It's really pretty low tech, even by 1970s standards. If you have access to decent tools or know someone who does, it wouldn't be that hard.
Also www.poolskater.com (in the slalom section of all places) has a reproduction of a 36" Sims oak kicktail. Probably too long for what you're looking for but could easily be cut down and redrilled to fit you needs.
Finally, not all vintage stuff costs an arm and a leg. Big name companies, G&S, Hobie, Sims, Logan Earth Ski, etc., go for big bucks, but there's a lot of other stuff that's priced pretty reasonably. Lots of small companies that didn't have people like Tony Alva riding for them made equipment real similar to what the big names did, and this stuff can be picked up for a quarter of what the name brands bring on the collector's market.
Good luck,
Chris

what should some one ride that would be perfect for old 70's era freestyle? i know you can do the same tricks on mostly any board but it's just not the same feeling, you know? i want people to know what kind of skating i do by the kind of board i ride. remember, stuff like old ed nadalin's aren't that common, or cheap for that matter! so remember when anwsering my guestion: stuff that is acsessable and reasonablely priced so that the board, trucks, wheels decribed can be bought again and again.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think I'm going to like this deck. I thought about getting it as a complete, but had the trucks and aforementioned wheels already.Should be a great set up.

I've had very limited experience with the reverse freestyle deck, but I'd probably just order it as the complete, I really like the reverse freestyle wheels, and the new full tracks fit it perfectly for rail stands/flips.

RE: BOBO, Reverse Freestyle
I have one w/indy 126's and Reverse freestyle wheels. It is a great board. I cannot work it like Lynn Cooper, but I'm getting there. It has a flat nose, which for me lends itself to nose wheelies, etc. Great board!

A question for all you frestylers out there. I am buying the Reverse Freestyle Lillis model deck. Has anyone tried it, and can you give me your feelings on it?
I'm mounting it with Indy 101's and 91a Lester Marbles.
Is this a good set up?
Help!
