Cones!!!!!!
On 3/8/2002 Michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

I know this isnt the Vendors forum, but I need to let everyone know that if you need cones for any competition or event, or even a 'gathering' please contact me. I am setting aside new cones for lending out to organisers. These will have a Turner logo on them, my own Slalomskate.com logo, but will leave enough space on them for additional sponsors that you may arrange to help pay for events. Let me know if you like this idea.

Slalom
On 3/6/2002 Clingfilm wrote in from (195.195.nnn.nnn)

Lee:
do you want slalom there. I'm there if you do.

Dave:
Until I got the Turners I used Santa Cruz decks. The blackbird is not as quick as the normal Turner, I use a fullnose. I tried the Roe a little in Sheffield and it looked very good. I am supprised you have trouble with the comet, but have you got the larger one. You need a short wheel base for tight.
Bushings are the problem as the new ones are not as soft as light blue trackers. This could see the end of 4' and below. The Turner truck that I have turns really well with white Indy bushings. I was tightening the truck, and if you ride my old Santa Cruz you would know that I never tighten the truck. However you can not get these trucks yet.
I am not sure about sesmics. I have not used them but I anticipate that they are a little slow. Have you tried your set-up the other way around.
Grip wise the Turner wheels are fantastic. I have never come across a wheel so good, or with as larger range.

Tight slalom set up
On 3/6/2002 Dave T wrote in from (212.219.nnn.nnn)

Chris I'll have a look around for some good spots would love to sort something out for late summer maybe.
Also a little help required am looking at a super tight slalom set up (sub 5') what can be used amongst todays gear.
I don't seem to be able to crank a comet Don O with seismic front and indy 101 rear below this, climbing onto a 70's solid wood deck with ACS 650's can make it no problem. I know many of the British slalomers specialised in this area, is it possible to use modern equipment or are you still using older gear, as I guess that much of the stuff coming from the states is more for hybrid, and GS rather than super tight. Anyone ??

EURORACING 2002
On 3/5/2002 Jean-Michel ATTIA wrote in from (80.13.nnn.nnn)

Fred,

A suivre...
