MOUNTAINS R US TOUR
On 6/22/2004 Kanufi wrote in from (220.244.nnn.nnn)

Not long back from the big tour and apart from the weather it was all good.We didnt make it to Canberra as we lost a day with rain and snow (yes snow).Sunday Bathurst mount panorama was going off. After i was released from hospital on saturday night we drove to the top and started bombing. At one stage it started to fully snow ,massive flakes before a run.Speeds where up to arounjd 80kms it was hard to tell with the surface being so smooth that vibration was almost non existant.Other wise a mind blowing trip on and off the track.
Cheers Kanufi

Ranking
On 6/22/2004 Jadranko wrote in from (80.254.nnn.nnn)

Hi Haggy,

here are my race results since i leave Sydney

Paris: Tight Slalom 20. place (Amateur 40 participants)
Silverstone: special Slalom 8. place, special tight 9. place, giant slalom 13. place (only one Categorie pro and amateurs together)

Grueningen: special slalom 5. place, giant slalom 8. place (Amateur 40 participants)

Hope to be on the top in my last race in the 2004 season. The last race will be Morro Bay (USA)

I have enough time for practice and enter other competitions.
Koeln (European Championchips)
Antibes (World Cup)
Zurich (not confirmed yet)
Morro Bay (Worldchampionchips)

I hope to make the Grueningen race after the Paris competition next year! And if someone make a competion after us, than you must come to europe !!!

Europe is cheap !! I will change my house in spring 2005. I go to live with a friend of my in a bigger house with 4 room's! One room will be only for guests !! If you can make it with the school, than it's now time for planing !!!

It's so easy !! Fly from Sydney to Paris, stay there for 4 Day's, than i will give you a lift to Zurich, stay one week or longer in my house and than we fly together with Easyjet to London. And from London you can fly home to Sydney !!!

It's really cheap !!
Flight from Sydney to Paris (one way) 700 Australien Dollars
Stay in Paris for 4 Day; maximum 200 Australian Dollar
The Way to Zurich; it's free
Stay in my house; it's free
Flight from Zurich to London (one way) 50 Australian Dollars.
Flight from London to Sydney 700 Australien Dollars.

1950 Australien Dollars for 3 week's Europe and enter in 3 Competitions is nothing! Stay with your girlfriend in 3 beautiful Cities, I'm sure it will have fun !!

Cheers jadranko

Tokyo - Allawah
On 6/7/2004 Haggy wrote in from (138.130.nnn.nnn)

Thanks for the info JG,

Yeah, I'll check this out. I've been burning to make it over stateside for LaCosta but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen this time around. But if there's some cool slalom action in Japan that might work out.
I read a couple of the posts from when you went over there, sounds like it was a fun time and a pretty competitive scene.

On the home front, we had a good session on Sunday at Allawah, Josey Wales, Don Daniel, and I. Set a 79-cone course around the north-west bend of the track, a fun course with some tight pumping sections and some faster longer GS-type sections around the steep corner.
Joseph and Daniel raced towards the end of the day, with me on the timer. Best out of three runs, Joseph eked out a victory against Daniel, but Daniel was hot on his heels! Grudge match next time!

Next ride at Allawah scheduled for Sunday June 20, hope to see you all there! Should have my new board by then as well, yahoo!

well, really late breaking...I can't seem to find the footage I shot in Japan, I'm sure it will turn up. But you can see they have some interesting activity.

Here is the main page.
http://www.unicomm.co.jp/eindex.html

really bunch of great people - I know they used to set a course in tokyo on a big hill. The guy who runs Unicomm speaks English and would really like to have everyone who comes to Japan come and join their slalom scene. Their email link is active.

Haggy your so lucky to be able to just get up and do anywhere in the world. Somethin cool happnin on the other side of the planet and your there doin it. You way underestimate yourself. Your probly the fastest slalomer in Australia. Just a hair of Paul Price's times two weeks ago and he's world champ stuff. And on sunday at Dulwich Hill you totally riped the snake pit on that 38" fibreflex longboard. Honestly that was a wicked display of surf pump rippen the pit to the max. Steve was totally gob smacked.
Alex, was great to meet you. You were totally rippen up the vert. Amaizing. Best nuskool skater ive seen around town. Then you came over and hung with us old skoolerz havin a go at our slalom and longboards in the snake pit. Natural. took to it awsomely. Great surf style. I mean this kid has serious style big time. And a cool friendly attitude. And get this, the kids 10 years old. Sick. Totally sick. A definate future champion in many diciplins of skateboarding. He kept lookin at Steve's green Bahne slalom sayin "I just gotta get me one of these".
Steve will probly be riding his 7ply double seizmic on sunday so dude, his green 6 ply will be yours for the day. Alex was the only kid with a helmet on too. Thats way cool dude. Much respect frr that. See yu sunday at Allawah. Lookin forward to seein you and your mum there. Hope I didn't give you a big head. Nah.

Lets pray for no rain.

Yo Alex and Everyone Else!

Next slalom meet is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 10AM at Allawah. It should be good fun, I think this time we will set a parallel course so we can have some head-to-head racing.

For those who don't know where we're meeting:
Kempt Field, on the north side of Allawah train station in Allawah, which is close to Hurstville, Kogarah, and Carlton.

Internet Map: http://www.whereis.com.au/whereis/mapping/zoomMap.do?mapIndex=7&brandId=1&level=1

Alright Folks, hope to see you all there.

downhilling was great fun. unfortunately 2 guys hurt themselves early on and were unable to continue riding. i realised just how weak my stomach muscles have gotten when buttboarding! couldnt keep my head up at the end of the runs and had to brake and try and stay on the road without being able to see anything. jogger and kanufi were flying on the stand up boards down the hill aswell. great fun and hoping someone is keen to do some riding this weekend? i dont care what! buttboard, stand up, slalom, carving, commuting around the city i dont care i just want to ride!
