Orange Risers
On 2/27/2009 Pete wrote in from United States  (68.3.nnn.nnn)

I'm looking for some orange risers. 1/2" or 1/4" does not really matter. Soft or hard, either one. Need to have old school bolt pattern and be in new or near new condition at a fair price.
Thanks,
Pete

looking to trade for a grippier set of wheels and is either side set or offset.

**wheels will come with the speedy lunatic bearings**

these are in used condition, no coning or flat spotting. I bought a complete with these and is too flushed with the board. i need something not center set so i don't tip over.

looking for any other wheels, don't be afraid to throw in offers no matter what kind of condition your's are in. the worst i can say is no thanks

NOS 36" Sims Taperkick - Charity Benefit
On 2/22/2009 Richard Sayers wrote in from United States  (76.102.nnn.nnn)

Regarding the NOS 36" Sims Taperkick deck listed below, even if you see it for sale somewhere else online for more money, I'm still willing to sell it directly to an NCDSA user for the price noted below. Of course if some enters a bid on that kind of site, then I'll honor the terms of that kind of site and sell it that way.

Pauliwogskiczy and update
On 2/22/2009 Steven "Old Man" King wrote in from United States  (98.97.nnn.nnn)

Paul,

Thanks for the offer man! I will make it to Hood to take photos for sure. Want to reprise our team effort on setting the dual slalom? BTW: I only wear one pair of reading glasses, and only when I'm exhausted from my (literally) world travels.

What's gone:
- RR Hesters
- RR 4s
- Cones
- Radikal

People in line for:
- Trackers
- PVD

What is still available:
- Giro Remedy (I wore it perhaps 20 times - it has one small nick and smells like new!)

Stay tuned for more tasty treats. This Feng Shui business of clearing out old stuff is working well. Perhaps the pink C-62s, the Magnesium Tracker Mid-Tracks, the unridden 2002 Turner cutaway (black top, lime green bottom) ... who knows.

I WON'T sell: Custom Ed Economy, Roe Bonita with German Seismics, Drop-thru Dregs, DT park board, 1981 Ick Stick, Roe Crossfire Torsion Core.

Steven King is Old-n-stuff
On 2/21/2009 Paulskiivoxg wrote in from (173.8.nnn.nnn)

Hey, Stiven King is so old he uses two sets of reading glasses stacked on top of each other to read the directions on the Geritol label. He doesn't skate anymore but he does use heelstops from his grandson's rollerblades that were sitting around the garage to use for stoppers for his walker.

DUDE! You're killing us! Death by a thousand vicarious cuts to our image of a modern and past slalom legend and Bro! Hey, if you do sell off all your old slalom stuff and then want to come to an event, let us know and we'll loan you everything you need. Everyone misses you Man! Schlater -P

NOS 36" Sims Taperkick - Charity Benefit
On 2/14/2009 Richard Sayers wrote in from United States  (76.102.nnn.nnn)

Hello my NCDSA brothers and sisters,

I just made a commitment to help out a nonprofit organization-- Bay Area Wilderness Training, by funding stipends for two interns for 4 months. At $400 a month it's going to cost me $1,600.

Given that I quit my paying job in August to do volunteer work for several organizations for 8 months-- my better half (wife Nanthwan) insists that I fund this commitment by selling some of my stuff (and I agree with her).

So, first up is a NOS 36" Sims Taperkick.
...deck only for $625 plus actual cost for insured shipping
...to include NOS early 1980's Tracker Ful Tracks mounted with 1/4" risers add $80
...to include NOS Kryptonics USA 70MM red wheels with NOS white shield Kryptonics bearings add $135

While this board is New Old Stock, there are some dings on the nose that happened when previous owner shipped complete without bubble wrap on nose...the one on right (in medium tone stringer, just above dark center ply) is more of a scrape than a ding...

The tail has a small scrape from when I was moving decks around and scraped another deck's grip tape against this deck's tail...

Closeup of bottom that shows some of the scratches. This board came from the Sims Factory with small imperfections, because they screened the Sims Pure Juice logo right over some imperfections...

NOTE: I placed the small Tracker Trucks and Kryptonics stickers on this deck for two reasons: 1) No 1970's setup looks correct to me without stickers-- back then nearly everyone's deck had stickers on it. 2) They were strategically placed to cover up some scratches on deck surface.
