PLEASE don't swipe the blocks as well cause that won't be replaced. later cyber shredders!

Ditch Slap, Indian School, Fun skate Jams
On 5/7/2008 Mitchell wrote in from United States  (67.177.nnn.nnn)

Just like the INdian school-which was great! How ever you like, thats how you get it.For me; Ditch Slap is an opportunity for skaters who like to ride with friends, take off solo, compete, or just ride every kind of terrain immaginable, via shuttle. And it's just rad to hang and ride with such a cool group of stoked people. Hats off to those riders who had the Grit to challenge themselves in every event and every kind of terrain; from the Sandia and Rio Bravo downhill runs, Numerous abounding ditches everywhere you look, killer skateparks, right down to the gnarly three mile free for all, with it's "Crash Corner" and let's not forget the gruelling cross town race. Thanks to all who showed and had a good time. thanks Timeship (also thanks to the "Marshall" and Palmer for Indian School) - for a killer event and just laying out a great venue of skateboarding for us all to challenge our skills. Thanks to the sponsors for their support and great skateboarding products. Leaving Ditch Slap 08'(and the Indian School 08'), I feel inspired to test my skills in all terrain and I am looking forward to putting some new equipment to the test in the future. Thanks to all for just sharring the stoke of life on a skateboard. I will be back next year for sure-if not sooner! PS- Nice Vid Jimmy - Good luck to all for future comps and killer sessions with friends.

Bear Slapped
On 4/29/2008 GI Joe wrote in from United States  (65.19.nnn.nnn)

Bad new s Bear Slappers!! Today the city has begun a 2 week project to move tons of dirt using the Bear as a highway, leaving lot's of compacted dirt and gravel all over the Bear course and with no end in sight. They say the are planning to go 24/7 to get their project done. This basically screws us out of getting to ride or race the Bear at all. The only thing that could save the day is a very well placed rain storm on Friday night. Unfortunately it is not in the forecast, but we can only hope. For those of you that were looking forward to the Bear as the main event, I'm really sorry that it looks like we'll have to re-schedule it....for next year!

The good news is that we still have alot of Plan B's to chose from and I'll be looking at all of them in the next couple of days to TRY and compare to the legendary Bear. We will still race something on Saturday morning, and for all of you that planned to wimp out, now you don't have any excuse not to join us!!

People are already arriving and we're off to a great start. Sandia tomorrow morning, explorations all afternoon, and we'll have a riders party at Crosslands Weds. night to get everybody registered and informed. The first 25 paid entrants will get better schwagg bags thanks to Kronik, Khiro and TimeShip because we love you!!
