I think I will hang out over here too between skate sessions. Tried my best to change the subject about a zillion times but to no avail. Hey Paul, thanks for the prop on our hill. Save those pennies, and nickels, and quarters, and greenbacks, so you can make a return visit this November.
Mike, we are hoping to put together a cash purse to make it somewhat worth the while for the number of pros that came last year to expand a bit. Hope you can make to the next Dixie Cup in November. It's the first weekend of the month so see if you can get that scheduled off from your job.

thanks a LOT...in fact everyone using my board to do the new tight course at Scripp's hospital thanks you too...they all rallied my board 'cuz it WORKED so well.

yeah, this set up seems reasonable to me for TS.

Remember, it's all in the hips...

you might want to try just flipping over the inner bolts on your front truck. It will hold your foot in place but not be as binding as a toe block.

I would go with something steep in the front. I use a Khrio 15 degree in the front giving you all kinds of turn from the front truck. I use a very slight angle wedge in the rear. I set the truck up so that the kingpin is oriented perpenticular to the deck taking most of the steering out of the rear truck. (My trucks are Radikal front and custom offset Tracker Mid offset.) Something else you might want to mess with is truck width. I run a very narrow track, can't remember the specifics off the top of my head, but it's narrow allowing me to turn very quick. Bushings are Khiro white and cutdown Radikal clear up front and Khrio yellow and custom cut Radikal green in the rear.

practice makes better and i'm finally not just running races, but putting in time needed to really get good.

You coming to the Buckeye Open June 23-25th? $1,000 first, $750 second, $500 third, $300 fourth. 3 races. You can probably make more money coming here, than staying home and working. I can almost promise it. Unless, I start really running TS... not. Come on out, you wont be sorry.

We have a potential problem at Pump Station. I spoke with the Pump Station's supervisor tonight, who stopped me on his way out tonight while I was hanging late to return some found keys to a Downhill Diva.
He complimented us skaters on keeping the place clean, but was genuinely Pissed Off about the proliferation of paint-dots on the street. He said that he gets complaints about them and that HE's the guy that has to clean them off. Added to the recent nazi garbage that got tagged on the asphalt in the cul de sac at the top of the hill and on some of the public art there, he said it's a real issue. No mas spots on the street, or he locks the gate. He suggested we go back to chalk lines around the cones and that he's cool with that.
He also suggested that we get more disciplined about big events with cars parked all down the upper part of the road. He called that a "really bad idea".
After he left, I went back down the hill and saw that the new white spots, that weren't super noticeable in the daytime, REALLY stand out at dusk --and it's a big line of marks. On my way back up, I noted that in addition to the white dots, we've got pink dots, red dots, yellow circles and white circles.
Okay, so this is an outstanding venue that we need to protect. We've been good about trash and happy smiles to people that want to drive past to visit one of the memorials, but put the kaibosh on marking the street with paint. This certainly applies to the Silverfish TS Clinic and the Skaterbuilt TS Challenge coming this next weekend. We get this jewel through the largesse of particular City employees and the Dude has reached out tonight to give us a warning.
