Well, I joyfully headed over to Barnes and Noble last night, to buy an issue of this high quality mag, and nope, don't carry it. Asked at the counter, she found it in their system, but not at any stores in so cal! Guess I'll just have to subscribe.

Hello All,
Between the joy of the US postal service screwing up subscribers copies and the joy of B&N retail shops messing around with the distribution, it's wonder anyone has actually spotted the mag!
But it does exist....of that I can assure you. We have fixed our postal dilemma...from now on, first class mail for all! As for Barnes and Noble...well, they are working on things too.
As Greg Stubbs said so eloquently tonight..."Michael, relax,it's only your 7th issue..."
You know what? He's right. We are working out the bugs...then next issue has got even more amazing stuff than this current issue and the one after that is better still.
We are printing more too.
I guess what I am trying to say is that we're on it. We are tweaking the mag with each issue and ensuring that more people get a chance to see it...worldwide.

Are there any Hastings Stores in Austin? They are carrying it too. I know there's a big one in San Marcos.
Hope that helps.

Thanks.

Over the past week it occured to me that the new subscription price (that factors in 1st class mail) really isn't the best deal for subscribers. Math was never my strong point in school, so forgive me if it's taken a while to figure out how to best charge for this increase in service.
I have decided to keep the price at $22 - but this will get you SEVEN issues...2 extra at no charge... AND all issues will go out FIRST CLASS AIR.
please let everyone know that we are working on the mailing situation and updates are at concretewavemagazine.com
thanks

I was stoked to pick up Concrete Wave at Chapters up in Vancouver, BC. Canada. The show had been off OLN for a couple of weeks.
Great Phillips article.
You need to do a Hosoi interview when he gets out.
Cheers

there has been an intense amount of speculation about what the three TWS staffers will do...
if they do decide to publish a new skateboard magazine...I wonder what will be inside it?
recall that there are 9 magazines now on most newsstands TWS Big Brother Thrasher Slap Skateboarder Do cument Kingpin Juice and oh yeah, Concrete Wave....
so, what do you think they'll put in their magazine? on the surface this seems like a pretty crowded environment with a lot of folks chasing the same ad dollars (except for CW)
So, let's assume you're now Grant Brittain (head photographer) or Dave Swift (former editor)what would your new skate magazine look like?

About the TWS situation...
I heard that the three metioned were going to finished out the next two issues and then start some sort of new project. It could all be speculation but after TWS sent out that issue with those AOL discs it was kinda all over....

Hi Michael, It was good to see you on Monday. With regard to the beer, you left out the word "pitchers" in your post! Who said that the Irish and the English don't get along? Of course, with the common goal of promoting all aspects of the sport we all love, its guys like us banding together that will push it forward and upward. The sky's the limit!
By the way, while I was in Toronto, my first "official" subscription copy arrived, all wide and glossy, with Wally on the front, and upside-down Chaput on the back.
The only bad part about the trip was that I didn't get to skate. I had even brought my speedometer-equipped 42" Fluid Red "V" carve machine! Oh, well.
