All your wheels should have proper bearing spacers and speed rings. Otherwise it really doesn't matter what bearings you have in them.
There are a lot of good bearings out there. A good many of them are exactly the same, with different packaging. Don't believe the hype, especially if it looks like you're paying for the fancy package. You probably are.
I think Tracker Stimulators are probably the best bushings out there, followed by Tracker Superballs and Bones Hardcores.
It's always nice to have a good selection of flat and wedge risers on hand. They're inexpensive and great for tuning your boards for specific conditions.
Without knowing what you want trucks for, it's hard to recommend any. Same with wheels.

should i get another set?

none, but what decks should get them?

red doh doh(medium)
blue bushings dunno brand came standard with thunder trucks(soft )
white bushings dunno brand came with b2s(soft)
i think replacing some of these might be wise if so what kind should i get?

on the stik, you are probably paying for the fact that gerlach's name is attached to the product. i don't think the stik trucks are much different in design than their original carveboard, so the cost justification isn't there in my book. someone is making a ton of dough on those things if they are going for $250+.

i've been on both the flowboards and the carveboards, incl. the stik. they are all fun rides. you can adjust the flowboard truck to customize the turning radius. if the flowboard guys can put 14 wheels and 28 bearings on their board for around $150.00, the price of the stik almost seems ridiculous for a board you can't even ollie up a curb on.

Hey Jim! Yeah the S*#tbird is downright SCARY!!!!
I took it out last Sunday to Ripon and rode it around for
a bit. I have the Grind King Jay Adams trucks on it(changed
out the stock bushings for Bones Hardcore Whites),
NOS Powell T-Bones(67mm 97 duro), and Oust Moc9 Airrr
bearings. GOOD LORD is it fast!!! It's going to take some
getting used to; since I've been riding my Skaterbuilt any
other deck seems _very_ small. I'm not sure how I feel
about the Grind King trucks yet...they react differently to me
than both the Webb 10" Pool Trucks and the new Mike Smith
167mm models I've been riding. I'm not certain how to explain
it; the Grind Kings feel sort of "clunky".(?) The S#$tbird deck
itself is a very responsive deck(much like the Skaterbuilt).
I did re-drill it for the Grind Kings, so it now has an 18" wheel-
base instead of the stock 16". It feels less "squirelly" than the
one I rode last fall. Also, after riding the Skaterbuilt, the "KONG-
CAVE" of the S-bird is not a problem!! LOL
The T-Bones are a very good wheel on 'crete. Fast but still
grippy. Maybe just a touch too tall; but that may be a combination
of the trucks/riserpads/wheels. However, I'm willing to deal with
that for the SPEED!!(very anxious to try out the new S#@tfire
wheels from The Dark Lord; should be out soon)
The Oust Bearings seem to work very well. One session is not
enough to draw any conclusions, so I may have to buy another
set and put them in a side-by-side with the Powell Super 6's
on my other decks.
I'm stoked to take the S-Bird up to the Strawberry bowl this
summer; I bet it just kicks major gluteous maximus in a pool!
This set-up will, no doubt, be worthless on masonite/skatelite;
but who cares??!! It's a pool tool fool!

a this cool deck. Margaritas next time I'm in Austin!

Everyone should own a Skaterbuilt. Been playing around with setups.. put some 81a Flashbacks and Swiss 6 on mine last night (215's and a about 5/8" riser)
Total Magic Carpet Ride............
It's hard to explain, but they just don't ride as big as they are.......
riding that thing always makes me smile.

I didn't intend for it to come off like I was "ragging" you about
your Skaterbuilt post. I didn't want folks out there who might
be interested in a Skaterbuilt to think that the SB Pig wasn't
capable of being maneuverable. Hopefully for everyone,
better than a Panzer! LOL
For me, one of the strengths of the SB Pig is the fact that it
doens't act like a regular big deck. It has a lot of "snap"
to it, and the energy return that you can get from pumping
through the transitions is next to none.(in decks that were
designed for that purpose.)
It cool to hear that another skater has taken the plunge
with the SB Pig. If you(not you Paul!! ;^) ) are considering
buying a pool/vert deck, definitely check out the Skaterbuilt.
Don't be afraid of the width...

Well I know they are expensive but they also handle a little differently then the flowlab. They were built to simulate surfing as much as possible. Like backhand snaps and what not. I dont think you can do that on a flowlab. Their turning radius is also very small. But I was wondering if they handle like origional boards?

$250? that's $100 more than the flowboards you can get online now. The store for flowlab.com has boards as low as $145.00 - I know because my neighbor downstairs recently got one and he won't quit telling me about it.
Personally, I can't justify paying more than two bills on these "new" boards - unless they are friggin' out of this world with coolness.

But it's heavy and *at first* the size/weight can make for unexpected handling; that's all. Maybe I should have said "Panzer" instead of "Bus"...

AHEAD!!!(mass is good when it's moving!)
However, I do not agree about the "handling like a school bus".
Sure, it's no slalom board, it's not meant to be. But, with the
right trucks(for me its the Webb Shogo Kubo trucks) and right
wheels(BDS Double Conicals) it absolutely ROCKS! I have
no problem with the turning radius on my Skaterbuilt; of course
the Webb's have a lot to do with it. I do ride my trucks VERY
loose, so it turns on the proverbial dime; but with the width of
the Skaterbuilt it is very stable. And that freakishly huge concave
is also a big help in the turning department!(my Deathbox
Wentzle Ruml deck with BDS Shogo Kubo soft pour wheels
BARELY turns inside my Skaterbuilt, but it is a suprisingly
good little slalom deck)
An added bonus(for me) of the Skaterbuilt Pig is the confidence
it gives me when I skate. I feel like I can go balls out and go for
"hairier" situations and pull it off.
E-mail Dave H. at Skaterbuilt and tell him you to set you up with
a Skaterbuilt Pig. You WILL dig it.

I just got a Landyachtz Drop Carve set up with randal R2s and Flashbacks. It's low, it's got flex and the flashbacks grip like crazy. It's so sweet for carving with the flex and if you want to bomb it's pretty stable being low. You can control your speed on crazy hills.

how do drop through boards carve? i like bombing but suck at stopping so not too many roads allow me to go fast. i want a drop through carver and will put randal r2's on it (these are stable enough as i'm pretty slow) with some flywheels. i like stiff boards anyway so will it carve alright or should i think about a non dropped board? i've already got a pile of them just not stiff enough or wide enough.

Yes. Stable. Fast. and HEAVY AS A BATTLESHIP.
I set mine up with shimmed out Sixtracks and BDS Shogos. First impressions are: It handles like a school bus, but on long grinds it stayeth. And I got to drop in for the first time in twentysomething years. So, uh, weight? don't care... I like a bit of junk in the trunk, anyway...heh

The Jam Longboard crew were out at G3, allowing us to ride their BIG boards, complete with the 101mm flywheels.
Before I had to leave, I was able to catamaran almost AROUND the entire circumferance of the park with Gilmore and 4 others...yup, we were gunning 6 on 2 boards!
And we could have fit eight!

I just got Webb 10" trucks, but I didn't want to drill out my skaterbuilt deck for the new skool trucks. So I used the good ole Indy 215s. No regrets!!! This setup rocks with 1/2" risers.
No wheelbite, smooth carves, a great deck and truck combo.
Big Props to Dave @ skaterbuilt. Try one of these decks. You'll love it.
