New Park Race Format

At the Halloween Havok Skate Contest this past weekend we had a "Pumpkin Carving Contest." (get it?) In place of cones we used orange plastic Jack-O-Lanterns. I've held a skatepark race at Boulder Park before, and while it was fun, it's long and boring for the spectators to watch a bunch of dudes run the same line over and over. This time we switched it up a bit. There were twelve pumpkins (cones) on all of the prominent features of the flow area-three hips, two extensions, a bank hip, three pockets, a low flat wall and two on the long east wall of the park. The clock started when the skater cleared the first cone and ended when he cleared the last cone. You had to clear all twelve, one cone DQ. This allowed the competitors to choose their own line and use their creativity in finding the fastest line. Some skaters with balls could grind over two cones at once or clear three cones in one massive aerial assault. It was also a lot more fun to watch then twenty dudes all soing the same thing. Make sure to let me know if you try this format in your own skatepark. I'd love to hear how it works out. I chose this forum because you guys are supposed to be on top of this type of event. How was Arizona? Post some results, YO!

G.I.-
I USUALLY CAP ALL DEATHRACES AT 30 ENTRIES PER RACE- DUE TO TIME RESTRAINTS.
WE ARE TAKING 20 ONLINE ENTRIES AND LEAVING 10 SPACES OPEN FOR THE PRO BOWL RIDER FINALISTS WHO PROBABLY WON'T SIGN UP ONLINE BUT WILL JUMP IN AT THE LAST MINUTE ON RACE DAY.
HOPE THAT CLEARS THIS UP.
BEST,
HACKMAN- THE GNAR!

There is conflicting info on the Desert Dog Death race, the SRA site says that the entries will be capped at 20 Pro racers and a recent post from the GNAR states that this will be a HUGE event with lots of top Pros, entries capped at 30 racers. Please advise.
And thanks for not calling it a SkatePark Slalom, god knows we have enough slaloms already!

Yo SL! Nice cannonballing- 20K was a pretty long time to go. I've got a super driver to pair you with...the guy is unreal- he will jump his M5 shoulder height and land it perfectly everytime clearing a bridge Dukes style.
You can talk to another slalomer friend of mine who drove with him as well. Nuts...you would think- but completely safe and accurate even at over 165mph. Never seen anything like it. Reaction and precision unlike anything I have ever seen.
What bike did you lose? Hope you can buy it back cheap at auction.
this cannonballer He owns a plane and is buying a jet. He also needs someone to doa PA to FL cannonball- $40K prize

Hey, Since Olson and The Gnar don't seem to be posting anymore, can I make this My Forum - the "Pauliwog" Forum, I think I deserve it because, well, heck I just deserve something, don't I? I mean, c'mon, why not, it's about time for it anyway I think. Yeah, that's the ticket. Really. OK, if I have anything more to say, I'll bring it right here, for all of you. As soon as I have something to say, that is. I don't right now, but when I do, you guys will be the first to know.
