But getting into more downhill switch stance and push. less hyper from an early morning run with a huge hangover. :) i'm stepping it up some for the race in NYC which I don't have a chance to win it but I do have a great chance to spread the skog to the NYC central park workout fiends and hangout with longboarders in the east coast. I'll be in michigan, nyc, denver and san antonio before the end of the year. considering portland too. 2010 I believe will the Year of the Skog. Best-Of Ncdsa (0)   Informative (0)   Abuse(0)   Flag Moderators (0) PB is one of my Fave's On 8/31/2009 Chris Yandall wrote in from United States  (98.176.nnn.nnn) I ripped 2 laps between the pier and the jetty last night executing a variety of switch cross step moves that had some loaded kids scratching their heads. the beauty is in believing and understanding the concept of being pedidextrous. i sure wish I started hot and heavy on this many years ago. too many skaters look like stiff cadavers when they ride locked into regular or goofy foot when they could be getting a better workout, alternating pushing legs, switching stance and carving. All I'm saying is set your body free so your explore the full potential of riding! And skogging is the way to set your flatland longboarding experience free!     Rate post 322816 ! Its an epic run with a switchback and forth hill right on the side of the trail(bring slide gloves). Its 14 miles roundtrip, you could leave a car on one side, but I usually start at the 6mi parking lot.Just a great morning of skate. Important- on the one or two days a year when the winds are going nuts, then grab whatever sail you can mcgillicutty together. Earlier this year there was a crappy day with 50mph gusts, I was just leaning back hard for miles. funnest thing ever, the wind snapped my homemade mast.I know i was choking 50mph out of that closet rod and secret sail material. Im back with a new kite-ish design and am ready with duct tape technology at its finest my friend. Also in videos if it's not worth looking at in real time...things that need fast forwarding maybe should be left on "the editting room floor",slow motion is alright for intensity or bringing out little details, my .02. Just get out there and crooz feeling the lean forward movement and the simplicity of function for a good tranportation and exercise deck. Thanks for picking up a deck up and spreading the skog and switch in your hood. you'll be able to race faster and blast higher airs now and best of all "stay in shape" :) that's my objective with these boards is to pack an exercise gym of movement into the skog! for some sample set ups. I set it up with Tracker 149 Racetracks, 78a red Retro Zig Zag 66mm wheels, and Bones Reds bearings. I haven't ridden it yet since it's really cold here in West Virginia (0 degrees tonight) . I stood on it and it seems to feel fine. This deck is really nice since it's flat, wide, and has a long wheelbase. I have a 10 mile running path I'm going to try it out on as soon as it warms up. Best-Of Ncdsa (0)   Informative (0)   Abuse(0)   Flag Moderators (0) skogging truck set up On 1/4/2009 Chris Yandall wrote in from United States  (66.91.nnn.nnn) I have a variety of skogging decks. the one you refer to is a testing setup that I decided later on to use a seismic rear(slightly deradded) and a skennet front/radded, instead for a very very very very interesting riiiiiiiiiiide . getting that killer front cranking tight turn, along with a nice stable rear weight ride is key. only seasoned veterans will get it. the young kids like those tongue decks from the 70's .... open wheel over my feet are worse than wheel bite for my style. but dang, those adam colton front truck manuals rock on 'em! the kids are still finding their way. :D i'll just skate circles around them. cYask8     Rate post 313428 ! The board performs well in many conditions but overall, this is the board to get for older people wanting to dip into the sport. It also represents an era spanning 40 years of deck designs. A little bit of Logan Earth Ski, a little bit of G&S and the rest a current design logic "FLAT IS BACK" from John Galac. The truck set up is simple. Lots of turn up on front truck and stability in the back makes for great recreational board for flat land aerobic skating, downhill cruising up to 40mph(can go faster but tweeking required) and best of all, flatboard tricks. My personal transportation device. I'm stoked! Awesome graphics and I'm getting a tattoo based on graphic! cYa     Rate post 312457 !
