Skateboard Heaven, Ocean Beach (San Diego), CA

Saw this place right outside of Robb Field (where the new skatepark is in Ocean Beach). Carries some longboard decks that I haven't seen in other shops. Decks by Sector 9, Dregs, Bareback, Flexdex, and G & S Fibreflex. They also had a Freebord (FB100). It's on the corner of West Point Loma Bl. and Bacon in Ocean Beach.

I got a set of Gravity Super-G's here. They put them on my board, and put spacers and washers on there for free when I asked. They even had the correct spacers for the Super G's (they're smaller than 10mm, maybe 8mm, I dunno). This is also where I got my randal II's for only $20 each (though they didn't have any when I was there yesterday). It's on the boardwalk at Mission Beach, check the place out!

Slam,

I talked to my friends about Thrifty Stick, and turns out they are really good friends with the owner, (who is also the girl behind the counter). She started her shop out of her apartment closet! I'd say she's done pretty well. She also lives in a loft right next to mine downtown. She's told me about parking garages and other skating areas in Denver. E-mail me if you wanna ride.

Hizz, sorry I didn't leave you the address to this place
(thrifty stick). I assume you did see my posting under decks on 2/10. They are very cool there although she ripped me on the price of my complete. I guess shes got bills to pay too. lets do some long carving roads!

Customer service means a lot to me, and you can't do much better than longskate.com. Rene set me up with a killer deal and threw in a bunch of freebies, too. The board came in the three days he said it would and was set up perfectly.

Thrifty Stick, Denver
On 2/14/2000 Hizzout wrote in from (4.18.nnn.nnn)

Hey all,

I had the chance to go to a skate shop here in Denver CO over the weekend called Thrifty Stick. This store is rad. Of course it has mostly snowboard stuff there now, but I asked the girl there, Kendra, (Extremely cool chick) who I find out is also the owner, about their longboard selection.

It's really limited right now, but she said this March they're going to turn their skate focus to longboarding. She mentioned getting Dregs boards too. Sounds like a shop with their heads on straight!!

Fuzz

Keep 'em! Both the red and white Aluminators say"78A" on the sidewall. But the white ones are actually 74A, as are the standard Power Paws.
So you did get the right wheels.

Just ordered a set of Power Paws - Aluminators (74a)... a bit pricey, but hopefully worth the wait.
Cheers solidskate.com, easy to purchase and straight forward (I'm a bit of an idiot as far as ordering stuff goes - or completely paranoid about getting ripped off!).

Some free stickers from these guys would be good though!

I just ordered a setup from solidskate to the UK and I got great service. It's a good idea to order online as we don't have a lot of choice in our humble kingdom (it's cheaper too).

This is a shop for everyone. It has the largest selection of longboards available in north-western LA county. They carry
Fluid,Dreggs,Sector Nine,Envy,Think and they carry catalogs to factory order a few other companies like, Shermans Shrimp and Black 29.This is the only shop that i have been in that i have had a selection of longboard blanks to choose from. The support gear for Longboards is even great from 70mm to 75mm wheels and hardwear that fits, this is truly a longboard lovers shop.

Here's a skate shop in the town where I live. Sells mostly shortboarding stuff, but they also carry some longboards by Flexdex and Gravity, and they are a few blocks from the skatepark. Maybe if enuf people ask, they'll start carrying more longboards.

It's on the corner of magnolia and mast, across from Santana High School, in the parking lot w/ the grocery store.
